Few tablets have caught my eye more than Lenovo‘s stunning Yoga Book. This sleek sci-fi looking tablet could very well be the next step in the development of the tablet as we know it. And now, you can buy one for yourself in Malaysia from below RM2,600.

The tablet itself comes in a 2-in-1 form-factor and features a 10.1-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display on one end but the magic happens on the pressure-sensitive touch panel that mirrors the display on the other end. This pad is developed by Wacom and can transform from either a Halo Keyboard or act as a drawing/writing pad.

This Halo Keyboard will take some getting used to as it’s essentially a flat display with a keyboard outlined on it. However, Lenovo does say that the keyboard will learn how you type and adapt to it, allowing users to get used to this keyboard in a matter of hours.

If typing is not your thing, you can always draw or write on it instead. Paired with the Lenovo Real Pen stylus that detects up to 2048 levels of pressure, you can simply draw and write on the surface, but that’s not all. The Yoga Book also lets you write on the surface with actual paper via the Book Pad. That means you can take notes with the Book Pad by physically writing on the piece of paper, while at the same time digitally transferring all your notes into the tablet.

Unfortunately, hardware specs for this tablet aren’t too impressive, which you would probably have seen coming when you realise that this tablet is only 9.6mm thick. Inside, it’s powered by an Intel Atom x5-Z8550 Processor with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Thankfully, that storage is expandable via a microSD card slot that can take cards with up to 128GB of storage.

Keeping the lights on is a 8,500 mAh battery that Lenovo says can last up to 15 hours on a single charge. One interesting point to note is that the Yoga Book comes in two variants — one that runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and one that runs on full Windows 10.

Whichever variant you choose to pick up, the tablet will be priced from RM2,599 and will come with a Yoga Book sleeve, Real Pen and Book Pad. The tablet will go on sale from end-December onwards at all Lenovo Exclusive stores.
