We’ve heard the warnings. Don’t use your smartphone and drive. Don’t use your smartphone and walk. Don’t use your smartphone while on the can because it might fall into the toilet bowl. What you’ve probably never heard of is to not use your smartphone when you’re at a Slipknot concert.

Neither did this poor guy, apparently.

I guess the lesson (which this guy learnt the hard way) is to not hog the front row of a concert only to text right in front of band’s frontman, who by the way, is strongly against people using their smartphones while doing other things like attending an epic concert, for example. I can totally relate to that because I find the idea of paying money to come down to a crowded venue only to watch the entire thing on your smartphone a little ridiculous.

Slipknot’s frontman Corey Taylor tweeted that he and the guy had an understanding and “laughed together” after the incident.

Right on man. It’s actually funny- afterward, the dude TOTALLY understood the fuck up and we laughed together haha. https://t.co/8ZA8CZmE4L

While some may think that Corey’s actions are a little extreme, he may not have to resort to such things in the future if Apple decides to follow through on their latest patent claims.
