About a month ago, Dell had showed off its new Venue 8 7000 Android tablet and it will be officially available by the end November at US$499 (about RM1,635) in the US. At 6.0mm thin, this makes it the thinnest tablet yet, beating the iPad Air 2 by a mere 0.1 millimetre.

In terms of specs, the Venue 8 7000 gets a high solution 8.4″ 2560×1600 display which is similar to the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. As comparison, the iPad Air 2 has a 9.7″ display that does 2048×1536 resolution.

Underneath it runs on Intel’s Quad-core 2.33GHz Atom Z3580 processor that’s mated to 2GB of RAM. Its imaging capability is quite interesting as well as it comes with a total of 4 cameras. There’s a front facing camera, a rear 8MP shooter and another 2 more at the back for Intel’s RealSense technology that allows you to measure distances between two points.

At the moment, there’s no word of it heading to the rest of the world including Malaysia. Check out the promo video after the break.
