The OPPO N3 will be launched next week and it will feature a rotating camera that uses a 16MP 1/2.3″ sensor.
While the original OPPO N1 swivels around at 206 degrees by hand, the new N3 would be electronically controlled using Planetary Transmission. You can think of it as tiny gears working together to rotate the camera module smoothly.
This is probably the first time a smart phone is ever fitted with such feature and we wonder what sort of advantages does it offer other than the usual hand twist action. Probably the camera might move automatically during a selfie, making sure your face stays within the frame.
