Ok, this is not a joke. Samsung has announced its new Galaxy Tab 4 line up of tablets which comes with the typical sizes of 7.0″, 8.0″ and 10.1″. The front remains rather similar as before but they are thinner, lighter and has thinner bezels than the previous model. There’s also a home and capacitive buttons however the menu button is now swapped for a multi-tasking function which makes switching of apps quicker. The back features a rubbery texture-like design minus the usual thread stitching pattern that’s found on the recent Galaxy smart phone and tablets.

In terms of specs, all 3 models are running on a 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor with 1.5GB of RAM. Regardless of size, the display for the 3 models pushes a WVGA display of 1280×800. For taking pictures and selfies, there’s a 3MP rear camera and a front facing 1.3MP unit across the range. For on-board storage, the Tab 4 7.0″ has an option for 8GB and 16GB while the other 2 bigger sizes come with a single 16GB option. Like previous Galaxy Tabs, there’s a microSD slot for storage expansion. In terms of weight, the Galaxy Tab 4 7″, 8″ and 10.1″ are 276g, 320g and 487g respectively and both 8″ and 10.1″ versions are rather thin are just 7.95mm.

It will be available internationally in Q2 and comes with choice of Black and White colours. All 3 Tabs will have WiFi & 4G LTE variants but availability is subject to respective local markets.

Head after the break for full product shots of the Galaxy Tab 4 7″, 8″ and 10.1″.
