The Sony QX100 or QX10 Lens Camera is a rather interesting accessory which allows you to bolt-on a rather high-end point and shoot lens onto any Android and iOS device.

Unfortunately Sony’s proprietary PlayMemories Mobile app isn’t really supported on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat. While waiting for Sony to update the app for KitKat support, there’s an alternative solution for now by simply using the 3rd party Camera 360 app which is available for Free. The Camera 360 app can be downloaded over at Google Play.

At the moment the Sony QX100 lens is available in Malaysia at RM1,499 which comes with a 20.9MP 1″ Exmor R sensor, a f/1.8 Carl Zeiss lens with 3.6X Optical Zoom. The yet to be made available QX10 comes with a smaller 18.9MP 1/2.3″ sensor but packs with a longer 10X Optical Zoom. You can check out our hands-on of the QX100 Lens Camera here.
