Acer has introduced a trio of new smart phones in the market ranging from a large mid-spec 5.9″ smart phone to an entry level 3.5″ device. The first device is the Acer Liquid S1 which is the prequel of its latest 4K recording capable Liquid S2. It comes with a large 5.9″ TFT display which does a rather modest 1280×720 pixels resolution, pushing a pixel density of 258ppi. Powering the device is a Quad-core MediaTek 6589 running at 1.5GHz and 1GB of RAM, which is similar to the recently available Sony Xperia C. There’s a 8MP shooter at the rear and comes with a modest 2,400mAh battery. The Acer Liquid S1 is priced at RM1,299 and as a special promo, they are also throwing in additional 16GB microSD card, complimenting its on-board storage of 8GB.
Next is the Liquid E2 which comes with a 4.5″ qHD display (960×540) and runs on a 1.2GHz Quad-core MediaTek processor with 1GB of RAM. Like its predecessor the Liquid E1, there’s dual stereo speakers and 8MP camera at the rear while at the front there’s a 2MP front facing camera. On-board there’s 4GB of storage and it is juiced up with a 2,000mAh battery. The Liquid E2 is priced at RM749 and comes with a free bumper case.
Last but not least is its entry level 3.5″ Liquid Z3 retailing at RM399. It runs on dual-core 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM and its front screen pushes a rather low 480×320 pixels resolution. It comes with a 3.15MP camera, 4GB of on-board storage and decent 1,500mAh battery.
