Entry level Sony Xperia tipo now available at RM499

Sony Xperia tipo malaysia

Sony has officially announced the availability of its single SIM Sony Xperia tipo in Malaysia at the price of RM499. This is one of the cheapest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smart phone you can get right now. The Xperia tipo comes after the Xperia tipo dual that comes with dual-sim support, priced at RM559.

To recap the specs, it is powered by a modest 800MHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB of RAM and 2.9GB of storage which is expandable with microSD. The front has a 3.2″ TFT display that does 480×320 pixels resolution. It comes with a 3.2MP camera that shoots VGA resolution videos. Powering the device is 1,500mAh battery which is rather generous for a entry level device.

Overall it weighs 99 grams and has a thickness of 13mm. Three colours are available – Classic White, Deep Red and Navy Blue. For a limited time, Sony is also bundling a CTIA stereo handset worth RM75. Visit the Xperia tipo page for more info.
