Been having battery life issues after updating to iOS 5? It turns out the latest iOS version is to blame for your device not running longer than normal. Apple in a statement to AllThingsD said that “a small number of customers have reported lower than expected battery life on iOS 5 devices”. Apple says the it has “found a few bugs that are affecting battery life” and will be releasing an update to fix the problem in a “few weeks”.
Apple didn’t say when exactly the bug-fix update will be released.
At the same time Apple has released iOS 5.0.1 for developers which contains the following improvements and bug fixes including:
Multitasking Gestures for the original iPad means good news for the first-gen iPad owners who were disappointed that their device didn’t support the feature. Also the security improvements means that the iPad 2 should no longer be vulnerable to exploits using the Smart Cover.

Frankly Im using maxis iphone 4 and have updated to ios 5 + jailbreak n i havent counter any issue when using it. with 3G usage during working hours, I still went back with 50% remaining and when i rarely use 3G I can use the whole day until the next day. I suspect those who complaint is using 3G 24 hours. did u let ur 3G ON 24 hour?
thats the function of smartphone i guess-to be online always.
I think problem is due to iCloud. Tries to sync when you're not doing anything. The new update should fix it.
Actually the multi gestures isn't that perfect as it sounds to be as for gaming that involves multi touch it will sometime somehow interrupting the process of gaming. So I rather turn it off when do gaming. Anyway except gaming, the multi gestures function is excellent as without the home button.
