Shortly after Apple revealed its new iPhone event, something else is brewing at the Android camp. Samsung has announced another Unpacked event which is different this time around. While Unpacked is where Samsung introduces new devices, the upcoming event has Google stamped all over.
For those that have followed, Google + Samsung are said to be working on a new Nexus device. The possibility to launch the device next month couldn’t have been any better as the current Nexus S launched in December is due for a replacement.
Another possibility is that Android Ice Cream Sandwich is making its debut. So a brand new device and a brand new OS to show up on 11th October 2011? We truly hope so. Since this is partly a Google showcase, they are also providing live feed through Youtube at http://www.youtube.com/android on the event day.
No doubt it will be an exciting showdown between the latest iPhone and Android smart phones next month. Android fans would be marking 11th October on their calendars.
