U Mobile has reduced its BlackBerry rates further for both prepaid and postpaid subscription. In the last revision few weeks back, U Mobile was offering:
Daily – RM1.50/day
Weekly – RM9/week
Monthly – RM40/month
Now they have made significant reductions and below is their latest BlackBerry Rates:
Daily – RM1.50/day
Weekly – RM8/week (Prepaid) / RM9/week (Postpaid)
Monthly – RM25/month
All three plans come with “Free Unlimited Data” with Fair Usage caps at 30MB/day, 300MB/week and 1GB/month.
With heavy competition from the likes of TuneTalk’s RM28/month BlackBerry BIS Prepaid plans, most telcos are forced to relook into their existing offering to stay competitive. A few weeks back, DiGi had introduced a monthly unlimited BlackBerry prepaid plan at RM25/month which comes with 500MB/day Fair Use Quota.
In the header, it is highlighted that the BlackBerry plans come with free calls but it wasn’t made clear in the BlackBerry section. From the looks of it, it should be based on top up for Prepaid customers.
For more information, head to U Mobile’s BlackBerry Plan page.
According to the FAQ its 500MB.
Q5. Is there a Fair Usage Policy for data?
A5. Yes. Upon reaching a daily usage quota of 500MB, your access may be throttled to 128kbps. There are no extra charges upon hitting the 500MB cap for Blackberry.net usage
Nope, its 50MB. I can assure you that its 50MB/day. U can call Digi's cs to verify further. http://www.digi.com.my/whatshot_v3/blackberry/unl…
Its 50MB/day (98sen) & 500MB/monthly (RM25). As you're pointing out digi's DAILY quota, then u should referred to daily BIS prepaid FAQ. TQ.
There are 2 packages here.
1. Prepaid BlackBerry® Unlimited (Daily) 98sen/day
2. Prepaid BlackBerry® Unlimited (Monthly) RM25/month
If you're referring to the daily 98sen/day package, no doubt thats 50MB/day. If you're referring to the monthly package, as stated in the FAQ 500MB/day.

That's where we got the quota details unless of course, this was a mistake by DiGi.
500MB x 30 days = 14GB monthly quota. With digi imposing strict policy on prepaid segment, even prepaid internet has monthly quota of 3GB regardless how many time you reload, i dont think RM25/month digi BIS for prepaid can have 14GB monthly quota.
As i regularly read your website for latest tech news & telco rates, i hope u can verify anything you posted as giving your readers correct information is crucial. Thanks.
Clarified with @digi_telco, Daily usage quota for BlackBerry Prepaid Unlimited (Monthly) is 500mb.
While that means you can use up to 15GB a month, do note that video streaming and tethering is not included. Those additional data usage would be charged RM8/day separately. So that high quota isn't much to shout about since it is restricted to blackberry.net only.
OK thanks. Thats a huge monthly quota for prepaid BIS.
digi's daily BIS quota for prepaid should be 50MB/day not 500MB/day
