UPDATE: Samsung Galaxy S II plans from Maxis here.

Samsung Galaxy S II is launching in Malaysia next week at Midvalley Megamall. We just got tipped that Samsung has booked the ground floor centre court from 22-26 June 2011. Details can be found on this page.

As you probably have known, the Samsung Galaxy S II is exclusive to Maxis and they have started their registration of interest last week. So now we know the launch date and the final piece of the puzzle would be the price and bundled offering from Maxis.

Its closest rival, the HTC Sensation has started sales 2 weeks back and we’re told a telco tie up would be coming pretty soon. It will be interesting to see which of the 2 would be more attractive in package and bundling.

Thanks TCMean for the lead!

again, digi is slowly out of the game, maxis is so aggressive now

great job on the update!

But so scare about the phone tied up with Maxis….they are greedy, mad and crazy to come out the most useless plan in the market and spoilt the gadgets sales. And if really the GS2 only exclusive with Maxis then we all died lah because the Maxis will shoot up the price very highhh and then so called give u a special discount if tied up with their foolish plan. (BTW, their
so called Discounted price was the Retail price in some other places).
So just pray that Samsung can control them back to the Ordinary Retail price like Taiwan or Singapore to avoid the Phone's sales spoilt.

Any telco that brings in the phone will try to make you bleed as much as they can. Best hope is Digi comes with the Galaxy s2 soon. Let them fight. All these telco's r nothin but bloodsuckers.

Haha Jeff, may be not dream but really RM799 only BUT you must pay RM2119 up front and sign up with Ultimate Plan for RM195(normal price) per month for 24months, then give you a rebate RM55 per month, so the phone price will be RM799 !!! Ohh, so good deal ! No Gimmick ! No Catch !

good job TCMean. but still didn't put high expectation from maxis

Yes..can you explain about the "exclusivity"? exclusive for how long? Will Digi get a chance to sell GS2?

    soyacincau

Exclusivity meaning they are the only telco offering it. Normally it is only for a short period of a month or two depending on their exclusivity deal with the distributor.

After the exclusivity is over, other telcos are open to offer it.
