Last Month, Sony Ericsson had announced the Xperia Arc which comes with a sexy slim body with a massively improved display & imaging capabilities. Like the Xperia X10s we’ve seen before, Sony Ericsson has introduced more Android variants to join the arc in its 2011 line up with the Xperia pro and Xperia neo. The key difference from first look is that the pro comes with a QWERTY slider keyboard.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is no stranger thanks to tons of leaks for several months now. So the covers are finally off with the final specs and features. The Xperia Play is the first ever PlayStation Certified smart phone which claims to provide unparalleled gaming experience with its robust gaming buttons.
It runs on the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread on a 1GHz Scorpion ARMv7 processor with Adreno 205 GPU. The 4″ FWVGA multi-touch display is capable of 854×480 resolution
and it comes with a 5.1 MP camera with assisted flash at the rear. On board, there’s 400MB of storage and in addition it comes with a 8GB microSD card for extra storage.
Among the games available are Need for Speed, Sims 3, Multiplayer version of FIFA 10 for mobile and more titles are coming soon from various content partners such as Electronic Arts, Gameloft, Namco Bandai Networks and Sony Computer Entertainment. Joining the foray of tablets at MWC is the LG Optimus Pad that runs on the latest Android Honeycomb OS. Instead of offering 7″ or 10″, the Optimus Pad stands out by having a 8.9″ WXGA display which does a 1280×768 resolution.
Just like its smart phone, the LG Optimus 3D, the Optimus Pad is the first Android tablet that offers 3D recording with its dual camera set up at the back. However for 3D playback, you would need a pair of 3D glasses as the display isn’t stereoscopic like the one found on the Optimus 3D. In terms of power, the Optimus 3D also runs on Nvidia’s 1Ghz Tegra 2 dual core processor and it is capable of recording 1080p HD videos.
No pricing and full specs are mentioned but LG is expected to start shipping the Optimus Pad by March this year.
