While Yes 4G is busy firefighting at their own backyard, they still managed to run a series of “deceptive” ads which there’s more than meets the eye.
If you search for a competing broadband provider, you’ll see a related ad which carries the title of what you’re looking for. However a closer look reveals that the link is directed instead to Yes 4G’s website at http://www.yes.my. Obviously this is something unethical and we feel was done without class. Why resort to such deceptive tactics in the first place?
Whoever is running yes’s adwords campaign should be stopped immediately. This is no accident and was done with bad taste. One word of advice, fix your website first before spending money on advertising. All that click-thru costs are flowing down the drain as we speak.

really low class players
Jacob Yeoh, a 25yo chap with golden keys spoon feed… can do the job? i doubt so..
There has been a genuine mistake made with the adwords campaign. All ads have been stopped. It does not reflect the YES brand or YTLC in any way. We apologise for this and we take responsibility for this.
MISTAKE? Typing Yes autocorrect as P1 WiMAX? Hahaha Best joke ever. Please don't insult the intelligence of people.
Looks like YTL hired a bunch of noobs to run their show.
RIP
Roy Tan, are you the guy running their AdWords campaign? If you do, I can tell you that you're in a lot of trouble.
i feel very sorry for Yes. I signed up and am very very impressed with their performance – 7-12Mbps on the go in PJ. With their aggressive pricing structure, they must also have created so many enemies with the telcos. i am sure that there has to have been some sabotage.
I too having been reading some positive comments from those who have managed to use the service. But whether it will remain so as more and more users join the service is still a big question mark – remember what happened to P1?
I'm not sure about sabotage. If you read around, there are lots of problems largely due to poor planning – from lack of customer support numbers and difficulty getting the devices outside of KL to problems logging in with pre-registered IDs.
I am suspicious as well, I believe the ISPs can actually not letting us get through to a certain address. Before the launching date I can easily access http://www.yes.my, but after launch date, I am still unable to access it until this minute? Mind you, http://www.yes.my is really quite a simple page.
I am using P1 wimax. Any act of sabotage? Direct competitor, right?
Nope, it's not act of sabotage from any local telco(s). I tried using a corporate networks which running on providers in Singapore, and http://www.yes.my is still inaccessible.

that's malaysian internet for you. If you can see a giant billboard f%$##% other internet providers…what's the difference?
So it's ok to do it since others are doing it too? Why not just sell pirated DVDs or drugs?
Actually in other countries like the US, they DO in fact do so, heck they even show the names of their competitors unlike here in Malaysia where you could only hint about your competitors in your ads. BUT, the facts they present must be proven true. If it is, no problem.
While in overseas, they allow companies to use their competitor's name as comparison. For this issue however they do not advertised themselves under their competitors name. That's called misrepresentation.
omg!!! at least they apologise ler…bleh
is 4g fast anot?
Haha… another fake comment. Looks like Yes 4G is going on the defensive to try to recover from the PR nightmare.
If you really bothered to read, the blogger has already done a speed test.
