Samsung has announced the Craft (SCH-R900) which is the first ever 4G LTE phone that’s coming to MetroPCS in Las Vegas, US. It features an AMOLED screen, TouchWiz UI and a slider QWERTY keyboard. It also comes with a rather low 3.2MP Camera with 2GB microSD included. No mention of the OS yet but it might be running on Samsung’s Bada OS.
Looking at the device, you can’t help to notice that it is looks cheap. Being the first 4G LTE device, we would expect something better. Even their 4G WiMAX device, the Epic 4G looks more premium. Let’s hope there are higher end models for 4G LTE in the works. How about a Galaxy S variant?

HTC’s Windows Phone 7, known as the Mozart has been caught on video. At first look, it is very similar to the HTC Desire/Nexus One that we’ve seen. Even the specs are no stranger as well.
It is said to be running on 1GHz Qualcomm QSD 8250 processor with 576MB RAM, 3.7″ Super LCD Screen and powered with a 1300mAh battery. Apart from that, it also comes with 8MP Camera with Xenon Flash, Audio DSP with SRS and Dolby Mobile. In the video, it demonstrates briefly on the Windows Phone 7′s bluetooth pairing and doesn’t really give us a full view of the device.

More screencaps on the booking process coming.
DiGi, your move.

We’ll be at the Maxis “invitation only” iPhone 4 launch happening late night 23 September to time the release of the iPhone 4 at the stroke of midnight 24 September effectively making Maxis Malaysia’s first telco to launch the iPhone 4 ahead of DiGi.
We’ll be providing you with the latest updates from the launch event via Twitter. So if you’re not already following us, please do. If you already are, thanks for the support.
Also, do comment us if you have questions of things that you would specifically like to know about the iPhone 4 offers from Maxis. If you have questions you want to ask the reps there, we’ll be more than happy to ask them for you. FYI, Sandip Das Jean-Pascal van Overbeke and a few C-levels from Maxis will be attending.
Frankly speaking we’re very excited to see what Maxis has in store for the launch. Granted, most of the details are out already but we have a feeling that Maxis is saving something special for the event. It’s only a hunch and we could be wrong but we’ll see how it goes.

Look what we have here. Berryreview had posted a photo of what believed to be a successor to the Blackberry Storm, possibly a Storm 3. It was speculated that the device has a 3.7″ display with 8GB of internal storage.
We are not really impressed with the previous storm but let’s see if Blackberry can change our mind this time with their new Blackberry 6 os.

Malaysians anticipating for Nokia N8 will have to wait a little bit longer. Previously it was targetted to launch sometime end of this month or early October, but now the dateline is indicated to be pushed towards end of October.
It was reported that the Nokia N8 enjoyed a strong pre-order demand, and this could be the most desired Nokia model to date. According to official statement, Nokia acknowledges the demand had exceeded its expectations. To ensure “great user-experience”, they decided to hold shipment for the device for a few weeks to make some final amendments. Looks like they are making last minute bug fix or refinements before it hits the market. Hope it is worth the wait.

Samsung has a new promo video for the Galaxy Tab android tablet. It promotes its various features including wireless media streaming on DLNA, video conferencing and other expected features you’ll expect from a tablet.
However as many had pointed out, the 7″ Galaxy Tab isn’t really that practical to be pocketable, especially at the back pocket. Sure, it is about half the size of an iPad but I don’t think anyone would be keeping a Galaxy Tab in a pocket. The 5″ Dell Streak, maybe that’s more possible. Extra precaution is advised when keeping your gadgets in your pocket, as even HTC had a little warning on the protective sleeve advising users to take out their device before sitting down.
Pocketability aside, the video is still worth a watch on its features and application. Head after the jump to watch.

(Update 21092010) There’s a misprint on the RRP price for the 32GB iPhone 4. It’s actually RM2,690 NOT RM2,490. How silly of us and we’re sorry for the confusion. We’ll update the tables in a bit. Thanks to commenter Berlinwall for pointing it out.
The big news this week is the iPhone 4 launch in Malaysia. It’s a close race between DiGi and Maxis on who will launch it first and what kind of plans will be on the table.
Looks like Maxis has released the first salvo with full details on their iPhone 4 plans and it is confirmed that they will be launching the new iPhone on Friday, 24 September 2010.
In an unprecedented move DiGi will also be launching the iPhone 4 on the same day but DiGi has been very quiet on what kind of plans that they will be offering to counter what Maxis has put out. We’re expecting DiGi to pull something big out of their hats, but it’s not going to be much different from the plans that Maxis has. The main differentiator will be the value added stuff and rebates that both telcos are willing to fork out. The question is how much money is Maxis and DiGi willing to pay in terms of cost-per-customer to win subscribers?
In the meantime let’s take a close look at the new iPhone plans from Maxis and compare them with the old iPhone plans to see if what’s on offer is really good value for money.

Cheeky, cheeky DiGi. They’ve put up a pictogram on their Facebook page that appears to convey the message that the iPhone 4 is coming, or how we Malaysians like to say it, “kambing“. Specifically, DiGi will launch the iPhone 4 on the same day as Maxis! This is probably the first time two telcos will launch the same device at the same time!
So it looks like the 1Utama roadshow is going to promote the iPhone 4. As we mentioned earlier the roadshow is longer that usual and it starts two full days before the iPhone 4 launch. The two extra days will probably be for DiGi to take bookings of the new iPhone.
The pictogram is a nice tongue and cheek approach to announce one of the year’s most anticipated devices but all the cute factor is not going to deter us from asking the hard questions.
Enough with the funny stuff yellow man, show us the good and let us in on your iPhone 4 offerings.
We’re pretty sure a ton of people out there want to know which one is the better choice, Maxis or DiGi but how are we going to choose if we don’t know what you’re offering.
Hope you tell us soon DiGi.
With two major telco launching the same device at the same time, they will try their hardest to get your attention, we’re not expecting much difference in terms of plan pricing between the two but we think both will try to sweeten the deal with loads of freebies and rebates during launch day.
As always, we’ll keep a look out while you keep it locked on to SoyaCincau.com
