The existence of an earlier rumoured BlackBerry clamshell has now been confirmed thanks to a leaked internal presentation deck revealing the features of the device.
The BlackBerry Oxford 9670, the device is probably RIM’s first full QWERTY flip-phone and runs the company’s latest OS, the BlackBerry 6. Specs include a dual-screen setup with a 360×400 internal main screen and a 240×320 external colour display.
There’s a 5MP camera with autofocus, face recognition and image stabilisation. There’s also WiFi and a-GPS. No word on what’s powering the 9670 but it does comes bundled with a 8GB MicroSD.
The source is saying that the Oxford will have CDMA radio but we think RIM will make this to with GSM/UMTS networks like the ones we have in Malaysia as well.
