The just released Samsung Galaxy S could be company’s bestselling mobile phone ever. In under 10 days, Samsung sold over 200,000 units of the 1GHz Android powered Galaxy S in Korea alone since it was launched on June 24.
Then again, this might not be a big deal considering the iPhone 4 sold close to 2 million units within the first three days of its in-store debut.
Back in Malaysia, we don’t have the official sales numbers for the Galaxy S at the moment but we were told that its close cousin, the Samsung Wave, is currently flying off the shelves with the first batch being all sold out.
Despite having very little hands on time with the Samsung Galaxy S during its launch last month, we find that there is a lot to like about the device. So much so that we would dare go as far as recommending the Galaxy S over the iPhone 4.
Yeap, you’ve read that right, we’d rather get the Samsung Galaxy S over the iPhone 4.

Just acquired a Mythic for myself and is going to be receiving 1 for my wife soon! It has just the appropriate mix of characteristics. just brief of the total smartphone. I’m keeping an eye around the Captivate for any possible future cell phone…selling prices are way too large when released. I’ve been in high tech for 20+ many years and fundamentally hack almost everything I own to make it superior laptops, GPS, car navigation devices, etc. and yes cell phones too. Inside handful of days I’ve owned the telephone I have by now installed Opera Mini, Bolt 2.1, freecaddie, Google Maps w/GPS functionality, deleted all locked useless apps following backing them up and completely modified the menu method to my exact wants with no all unproductive apps.

i imagine it was a bit rushed, and neglected some features that not many people talk about. Everyone is aware of that almost all new smartphones have internet, so why show that basic perform at its bear minimum. Scroll up scroll down zoom in zoom out. I am a latest Omnia (910) user on Verizon who was very disappointed with Windows Mobile 6.1 and Samsung’s shell. Wound up paying for SPB Mobile Shell to get a usable interface and needed to abandon Exchange email on account of security restrictions. Essentially anytime you tried to location or acquire a call, you had to enter your PIN and I was missing calls as a outcome. As a final point made the decision to abandon smartphones for your time being (economic causes) and wait for a great Android unit. The Galaxy S (Facinate) really should fit the bill. Disappointed to hear with the GPS issues. Let me add that Verizon’s 3G assistance was great all through and I at some point stopped utilizing WiFi since V3G was a lot quickly sufficient for me.Interestingly, I’m employing the Omnia as being a wireless system all-around the residence for checking e-mail, Twitter, Facebook and basic browsing. But not being a cell phone!
