DiGi launches Facebook 0 (Zero): Free Access
Posted on June 1st, 2010 19 comments
Update: Facebook Zero might be chargable if you have different settings. Read all about it here.
DiGi Facebook Zero is officially launched by DiGi today. As mentioned in the previous post, DiGi users can access Facebook for Free via 0.facebook.com.
You’ll notice at the top that there’s a header “Free Access by DiGi”. This is perfect for those without any data plan to stay connected to Facebook absolutely free. Of course, you won’t get any images as normally shown on m.facebook.com.
Not groundbreaking but yet it is a commendable feature from DiGi to be the first telco in Malaysia to offer such free feature.
Check it out on your mobile at 0.facebook.com for DiGi customers.
More details here.

Are you accessing via http://0.facebook.com? If you are, you can complain to DiGi to demand for refund for something they promised free. Make sure the top part of the page indicates: Free Access by DiGi.
By the way, you have to use your phone's native browser to access 0.facebook.com. 3rd web party browsers that uses proxy like Opera Mini does not work and will display a red bar standard data charges may apply.

[...] announced earlier, Facebook Zero offers free access on selected Telcos and DiGi is the first to offer such feature. Simple enough, [...]

Seems fine on our side. Are you able to surf other websites as well? Either DiGi's data service is down in your area or you might need to check out your internet settings on your phone.

Can you check which internet settings you're on? DiGi says its only for DIGI WAP. If DiGi Net, charged as normal. http://www.soyacincau.com/2010/06/21/facebook-zer…
