TM Streamyx BlockBuster Deals: Broadband + Voice

Streamyx has sweeten up their offer with the new BlockBuster Deals that is obviously pushing their voice business.
This could also be seen as a Streamyx retention campaign as well as to encourage more usage of voice by offering FREE Calls to all TM Fixed Line and attractive mobile call rates.
There are 4 Broadband + Voice plans and 3 Voice only plans on offer.
Broadband + Voice offering
The broadband & voice deals range from 512kbps to 4Mbps with price range between RM90-RM160/month. All 4 includes:
- Free WiFi Modem
- Free Cordless DECT Phone
- Free Calls to all TM Fixed Line (including 1300 & 1800)
- Zero entry cost (installation & activation fee) until further notice
Calls to mobile and non-TM fixed lines are charged at a flat rate of 15sen/min for the 512kbps package while the rest are charged at 10sen/min.
There’s a minimum contract period of 12 months.
Voice Offering
3 voice deals on offer starts from RM38/month with:
- Free Cordless DECT Phone
- Free Calls to all TM Fixed Line
Calls to mobile are charged at 15sen/min for Voice Deal 38, 12sen/min for Voice Deal 48 and 10sen/min for Voice Deal 68. Voice Deal 48 also comes with 60 minutes of bundled talk time while Voice Deal 68 comes with 120 minutes of bundled talk time for mobile calls.
Minimum contract is 6 months.

I've signed up BBD RM90 at Batu Gajah on 25/5 and internet line installed on 29/5.
During sign up they explained the package entitled FREE CALLS but NO MENTION when effective.
So I assumed with immediate effect once got the internet line.
A week later on 7/6 i went back there to collect free deck phone ,was told FREE CALLS only effective a month later on end June.
That means between this period 29/5~7/6 I need to bear all cost for the fixed lines calls!
The TM point staff even blamed me said "Why I didn't ask"

You should've given the TM Point staff a mouthful! The sales staff is fully responsible to inform you of all the perks of the package that you're signing up for.

What brand of dect phone did they give you? Is it a good or a lousy one? Still thinking to get the free dect phone or buy a better one anywhere.

We can't confirm but we think it's a Panasonic KX-TG1311ML DEXT phone.

All terms and conditions should clearly defined in written form rather depend on the "unprofessional" sales staff verbally explaination as might miss out some important points.
Hope TM can improve more on this.

I’ve applied BBD 90 thru agents. Were not told d free calls take effect a month later after application date. I’ve went to tm point 4 times to collect d FREE DECT PHONE but were NO STOCK! What a lousy TM NUTS.

Exactly, not being told at all abt the free calls start effect a mth later, obviously want us to bear the
cost and TM gain more, not realising they're actually tarnish own reputation.
TM staff asked me to appeal for cost reduction once i get the monthly bill and I surely will.

I applied BBD upgrade from 1 MB to 4MB effective 2nd May 2010. I have made many trips to various TM Point and lodge reports to 100#. In fact I just got back from TM Point kajang 3 hours ago and to my horror, I was told that they could not find my data in the Dect phone tracking system! The only thing they promise would do for me is to send email to the department in charge. I have requested to CC me in that email. Until now there is no sign of email nor the DECT phone!!!

If they are making a big issue out of your registration, cancel everything and give P1 a try (provided that you're in coverage area), we can tell you, at the very least their customer service is much better. All the best!

I just 'upgraded' my streamyx RM88 plan to this new BB deal. However, I was denied the free cordless phone because they told me that it is not an upgrade for me (from 1Mbps to 1Mbps) hence no free cordless phone for me. I want to know if this is in their terms and condition!

Very likely that you've been duped.
If you sign-up for the promo you should get whatever that is being offered. Did you sign-up at TM Point or a dealer? If you signed-up with a dealer, recommend you raise issue to TM Point to clarify. Hope this helps

i applied the 1Mbps BB deal 2 weeks ago….the installer only gave the blue coloured service acceptance form……is it the multimedia confirmation slip?
today i went in tmpoint puchong branch for this package and it’s was told customer will be charged RM88 for the upgrade! this is not a good deal, just another scam deal from Telekom Malaysia.
how can we customer have to bear the switch terminal from 1MB to 2MB cost? those port not belong to customer and we customer have to take up the cost!
furthermore the so call tmpoint service presentive not pro as they cant give you any answer, all they can say is…”IF YOU WANT TO COMPLAIN, GO AHEAD”
I make up decision after 10 years with TMNut! it time to switch to others ISP!
