Samsung Malaysia has released a new Galaxy Note Edge commercial featuring 2 wealthy thrill-seeking blokes. Instead of showcasing the Note Edge’s extra curved display, they literary took the device to greater heights. As you would expect, it gets a little dramatic in mid air.
The Galaxy Note Edge will be heading to Malaysia in early next month and its official pricing was revealed to be at RM2,999. For an extra RM500, the Note Edge would be quite exclusive as official stocks are said to be limited in numbers, compared to the Galaxy Note 4 which it is based on.

Christmas, it’s a wonderful time and with it come some wonderful commercials that capture the essence of the festive season. This one from Apple is one such commercial.
The premise. A young boy seems disconnected with the family. He’s more interested with his iPhone than everything else that’s going on around him. At first glance, it’s easy to assume that he’s more involved in his digital social life than he is with his real life. But what is he up to really?

Flexible displays on smartphones are the in thing right now while its a trend we’re not really sure will catch on, it is one the Samsung is keen to exploit. This is probably the first of many TV spots we’ll see from the Korean manufacturer showcasing what it claims it the first smartphone in the world with a curved display — the oddly named Galaxy Round.
So what benefits does a curved screen have over a flat one? The ad seems to tell us that users will appreciate the ergonomics. The ad also seem to tell us that sliding your fingers over a curved plane feels more natural than a flat one. Anyways, we’re still not sold on the idea of a curved screen device.
Head on to after the jump to watch the ad and tell us why would you want a curved screen smartphone over a flat screen one.
Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a very special time for all Muslims and it’s no different here in Malaysia. As we approach the end of Ramadhan, brands are also eager to share the joy with celebratory ads, and while some do it better than others, we believe this series of videos released by Maxis most genuinely encapsulate the meaning of Ramadhan and Raya in Malaysia in all of its facets. From the joys to the tears, we enjoyed every single one of these videos and we thought it’d be nice to share them with you.

For the Samsung Galaxy S III, they are no longer shouting loudly about hardware specifications but rather on the unique features that they have. One of them is AllShare which lets you push content to the big screen and among your peers wirelessly. To demonstrate that, Samsung has released a series of videos that shows off AllShare’s advantage in various day to day scenario.
Of course, this only works if all your peers and family members are using a Galaxy S III and compatible devices from Samsung. Interestingly Samsung is no longer taking pot shots against Apple which they did last year and during their Galaxy S III teaser.

Lady Gaga is one of the attention grabbing artiste out there. It is no surprise that Sharp too is wanting the same attention and they’ve gotten some help from Lady Gaga to promote its Sharp IS03 device.
The Sharp IS03 is one of the highest resolution displays found on an android device which offers similar 960×640 pixels like the iPhone 4. This is something which Sharp calls ASV (Advanced Super View) that boasts wider viewing angles.

Down under, a new MVNO on Optus 3G network has launched under the name Amaysim – “Amazing”, geddit? It claims to offer the best value with the lowest rates possible especially with Australia’s first ever mobile network with no flagfall. Flagfall is something that most telcos in Australia charge per call you make, which is around 20-25 cents depending on operator.
On Amaysim they are giving a simple plan of 15c/min of calls, 12c/SMS and 5c/MB of data. Doesn’t that sound familiar with our very own TuneTalk?
It is good to see new players in the market which heat things up in the telco industry. At the end, the consumers will benefit with lower rates and greater savings. Check out the ad after the jump and again it does look familiar with another ad we’ve seen recently.
More info on amaysim at their website.
P1 4G has released its TV Commercials for its new campaign claiming Strong, Faster & Wider. Currently they are currently pushing on their Super Broadband Package
that offers shared usage over a combination of home and USB modem
The kids in the ad are cute and all but we the find the ad pointless. They are selling the illusion of speed with no tangible indication of the level of performance that P1 intends to offer. Check out the video after the jump.
