Webe is one of Malaysia’s youngest telco and they came in with a promise to reimagine the mobile space. After having two LTE plans and appointed its third CEO in just two years, the webe name has finally come to an end.
When webe was first introduced, its mobile postpaid plan at RM79/month gives you almost unlimited everything except for wifi tethering. A few months ago, they had offered a few months of 1GB of free hotspot data and obviously, that isn’t enough for most power users.
Probably after much persuasion by its potential subscribers, the TM mobile brand is now offering free 10GB of LTE hotspot data to all webe mobile subscribers.
If you’re thinking of getting one from a telco, this is probably the least appealing of them all.
TM’s webe is the only telco that offers a single postpaid plan that comes with unlimited calls, sms and data for RM79/month. The biggest limitation, of course, is its tethering hotspot feature. Unlike other telcos that let their subscribers tether for free, webe charges you each time you need to use your phone as a WiFi hotspot.
Probably after getting enough feedback and a nudge from its competitor, webe has finally revised its WiFi hotpsot/tethering offering. On top of that, they are also throwing free hotspot data for the next few months.
Looking for the ultimate phablet? Look no further as the all new Huawei Mate 9 is here! Not only does it have a big screen, but it’s also big on performance that’s designed to stay fast even after 18 months of use.
But what’s the use of a great phone when you’re limited with data caps? It’s time to pair your new Mate 9 with a plan that gives you total freedom.
Webe’s RM79/month promotion for its unlimited everything postpaid plan has been extended. Originally priced at RM199/month, webe is continuing to give RM120/month off to everyone as part of its Chinese New Year promotion.
Barely 3 months into full commercial service, webe has shared its upcoming 4G network plans that will commence very soon. At the moment, webe operates on FDD-LTE at 850MHz (Band 5) which is great for signal penetration and wider coverage. In the next phase, webe will be focusing on building up network capacity to support more users and to create new wireless possibilities.
TM’s mobility brand, webe is finally available to everyone nationwide by the end of this month. The webe postpaid service was initially released only to selected TM customers on 30th June. As usual, there will be just one single plan from RM79/month that offers unlimited calls, sms and data.
We talk a great deal about freedom. It’s this idealistic concept of not being bound by any restrictions and limitations. It’s that feeling of being able to operate to your heart’s content, unfettered by external factors and inhibitions. It’s really one of those things you have to feel to really understand but how many of us have actually felt freedom?
What if we told you that you could? That you could set yourself free and enjoy the full benefits of accessing something like the internet, without any worry or concern, for as long as you want. What would you do? What could you do?
