Nokia has officially revealed its new 2nd generation Nokia 6 for 2018. This is their new mid-range smartphone that replaces its current model that runs on a Snapdragon 430 processor. The new Nokia 6 gets a more capable processor with added features and it’s slightly cheaper than before.
When Nokia made a comeback early last year, the Nokia 6 was their top of the line device (before the Nokia 8) and it came with stock Android. Priced at RM999, it is a solidly built phone, but unfortunately, it packs an entry-level Snapdragon 430 processor at a mid-range smartphone price range.
That’s going to change for 2018 as Nokia appears to be launching a new one and it’s looking like a proper mid-range device.
If you’re looking for a different mid-range smartphone that comes with a “FullView” display and a capable processor, the Sharp Aquos S2 is now available for pre-order in Malaysia. For those who are not familiar with Sharp, they do make smartphones and they are a pioneer when it comes to bezel-less designs.
Qualcomm has announced two new Snapdragon 600-series processors that would be powering our upcoming mid-range smartphones. The new Snapdragon 630 is an update for its current Snapdragon 625/626 processor while the Snapdragon 660 is an all new 14nm processor which replaces the popular Snapdragon 650/652 series.
