Just like the iPhone 4S and HTC One X offer, the Samsung Galaxy S III can be yours for only RM799 with 24 months contract of Maxis Value Plus 50 postpaid voice + 1GB data plan (RM98/month). An upfront payment of RM1050 is required which will be rebated back to your monthly bill. This offer is valid until 20th August 2012.
The Samsung Galaxy S III is finally available on contract with U Mobile from as low as RM588 at all U Mobile stores nationwide. The Galaxy S III which retails for RM2,199 is now offered on 4 contract plan options with 24 months period.
In past bundling, there’s U28, U58 & U88 which comes bundled with 1GB, 2GB and 3GB respectively. Now they are bundling the device with U Premium, which offers 5GB of data, 800 minutes of call & 800 SMS for RM168/month. A major thing to note is that U Premium’s bundled minutes are split 50-50 for calls/SMS made to numbers within U Mobile network and other domestic networks. Obviously the RM588 price offered is tied with U Premium plan for 24 months. If U Premium’s subscription of RM168/month is too much to commit, the Galaxy S III can be yours at RM1,099 on 24 months contract of U88.
For more information, head over to U Mobile’s Galaxy S III page.
Coming in late for the party, U Mobile is offering the Samsung Galaxy S III at their shops very soon. For now, they have started its registration of interest.
According to the page, those that registered will be informed on collection details on the 29th of June. While U Mobile is a late comer, it is good to see a new alternative to offer more choice and competition for consumers. The elusive Samsung Galaxy S III in Pebble Blue is hard to come by due to earlier reports of delay. If you’re looking for one, Maxis has updated on their Facebook page that they are replenishing stocks at their Maxis Centres at KLCC, Gardens, eCurve & Pavilion with Pebble Blue units today at 12:00PM.
So if white colour is not your thing, the pebble blue unit will definitely stand out from the crowd at the moment. If you want it, you better be quick as stocks are expected to snap up very quickly.
Update: As of 1145hrs, June 2, Cubic Platforms has sold out its inventory
If you’re in the market for a Galaxy S III but don’t want to be tied down to a contract then you’re in luck because there is now a number of ways for you can get one without the need to sign up for a contract.
We found an online seller that is currently taking orders for the device. Buyers can expect delivery by next week. If you can’t wait and you’re nearby a Celcom Blue Cube or a Celcom Galaxy S III Roadshow location then you can get one on the spot – provided that there are still units available. And just recently, Cubic Platforms has announced that it has received its inventory of Galaxy S III ready to be sold without contract.
If you’re looking for the Pebble Blue version however you’re out of luck as currently Cubic Platforms only carry the Marble White unit and even this version is limited everywhere we check.
So if you’re looking for a Galaxy S III and want to purchase it outright, there is now another place where you have a fair chance of getting one. Since the Galaxy S III is available in the open market without the need to sign an operator contract for it, we expect to see more and more dealers start taking orders or start selling the device as soon as they’ve received their inventory.
If you see of any dealers selling the device, do let us know.
Want to get the Samsung Galaxy S III but don’t want to be tied down with a contract? We’ve gotten information that you can get units without the need to sign-up with contracts from Celcom Blue Cube outlets as well as the Celcom Galaxy S III roadshow happening all this weekend at Mid Valley Megamall, AEON Station 18, Ipoh and Sutera Mall, JB.
While operators are enjoying first to market exclusivity for the Galaxy S III, an enterprising seller has started taking orders for the just launched device. In addition, the seller also claims to have both the Pebble Blue and Marble White versions of the device (16GB). Price is as per the recommended retail price of RM2,199.
To secure a unit, all you need to do is bank in a deposit of RM250 and wait for seller to inform you when the unit is ready. Depending on your location, seller can either COD the unit to you or you arrange for self-pickup or same day delivery. As far as we can gather, seller is not offering any additional freebies on top of the device purchase.
In any case, this is very good news for those who are eager to get the latest and greatest from Samsung but are not keen to be tied down by a lengthy contract, but we must caution you to always be careful with online transactions of this manner. Having said that, the seller looks legit, even so, just be careful. Choose COD if you can as that is the best and safest option.

UPDATE: DiGi has added more plan options and shorter contract tenure for its Galaxy S III bundle. Details here. We’ll be updating this post with the new plans soon.
Having all 3 Malaysian telco offers revealed for the Samsung Galaxy S III, it is time for another round of plan comparison. Outright, the Samsung Galaxy S III with 16GB of storage retails for RM2,199. This time both DiGi & Maxis are offering the Galaxy S III from RM999 with 24 months contract while Celcom offer theirs from RM1,398 with 18 months. As a special promo, Celcom is offering it at a much lower RM888 to those that turn up wearing blue at their roadshow. For Maxis, their RM999 price is limited for the next 4 days at all Maxis centres.
In terms of contract duration, Maxis offers the best flexibility with 12, 18 and 24 months options while Celcom offers 12 and 18 months. DiGi this time however is offering the Galaxy S III with a single option of 24 months. It is also interesting to point out that Maxis now requires upfront payment but customers that have stayed with Maxis for more than a year are omitted from this payment. Read on for the full Galaxy S III plan comparison. DiGi’s special pricing for 24 months Smart Plan 68 and 88 is only valid at their roadshow and online store while stock last. The normal pricing is RM300 more than what they are offering right now.
Maxis has finally revealed its Samsung Galaxy S III rate plans. As revealed earlier, they are offering the flagship device from only RM999 at their Maxis Centres from 31st May until 3rd June with 24 months of 3GB data plan bolt-on.
On Maxis, they are offering the Galaxy S III with 3 contract duration of 12 months, 18 months and 24 months. As usual, they are bundling it via data plan bundling of 1GB (RM48) or 3GB (RM68) on top of a postpaid plan from Value First (RM30) and above. Bundled pricing as follows:
There’s no mention how much the Galaxy S III is offered with 24 months X 3GB plan after their 4 days promo but from the looks of it, it could be somewhere between RM1,300-RM1,500. For subscribers that are with Maxis for less than a year are required to pay an advance payment between RM100-RM900 depending on contract options.
The Samsung Galaxy S III will be officially available in Malaysia tomorrow with the 3 big telcos offering it simultaneously. So far DiGi and Celcom both has revealed their pricing from RM999 and RM1,398 respectively. At the roadshow, Celcom is sweetening the deal by offering it lower at RM888 for those that turn up wearing blue at their venue.
While we haven’t seen anything from Maxis, we’ve just got tipped with the image above that Maxis is offering the Samsung Galaxy S III from as low as RM999 with 24 months contract of 3GB data plan, which is bolted on Maxis postpaid plans from Value First (RM30) and above.
The details are yet to be confirmed and we’re having second thoughts on the 3GB x 24 months bundling. With such a big subsidy (RM1,200) from the full RM2,199 price, we are expecting a much higher plan such as the 6GB data plan x 24 months contract like the time when Maxis bundled the HTC One X for RM1,000. We will find out tomorrow once their full plans are revealed. The special pricing seems to be only valid during their roadshow until this weekend.
In addition, they are giving extra Loker cloud storage at 25GB. In the fine print, it mentions that Maxis customers of less than 1 year are required to pay RM900 upfront which will be credited back immediately.

With the full availability of Samsung Galaxy S III drawing near, Celcom has finally revealed its bundled pricing for Samsung’s flagship smart phone. The Galaxy S III can be yours this Thursday from RM1,398. The outright price is RM2,199 for the 16GB version.
On Celcom, it is offered with a shorter choice of 12 months and 18 months contract with Celcom Exec 50 with 1GB data, 3GB data and Celcom Exec 250 which comes with 5GB of data. As comparison, DiGi is offering only 24 months contract duration, which isn’t ideal for those that don’t want to be tied for long duration. More details of Celcom Galaxy S III plan here.
In conjunction wit the launch of the Galaxy, Celcom will be organising roadshows offering some interesting deals from May 31 to June 3 and promos at the following locations:
Earlier this morning, @baliriot has alerted that Celcom is doing another special launch promo where the Galaxy S III can be yours for only RM888. The condition is that you’ll need to wear blue at their roadshow event to be entitled. It is also likely to be tied with a contract as well.
