Samsung has been quite slow when it comes to Android Oreo updates and even the first devices of the year, the Galaxy A8 and A8+, were launched with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. Since last month, Samsung appears to be taking software updates more seriously as they have just updated both Galaxy S8 and S8+ to the latest Android 8.0 with Samsung Experience 9.0.

Samsung had started rolling out its Android 8.0 Oreo update for Galaxy S8/S8+ users just before Chinese New Year. Unfortunately, they had to suspend it the next day due to some issues affecting some users.
For those who didn’t hit the download button on time, Samsung has finally resumed its software update roll out and it should reach Malaysian units very soon.
A couple of days ago, Samsung had started to roll out its long-awaited Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Galaxy S8/S8+. Most users that have downloaded the update as soon as they got notified should be enjoying the latest Samsung design tweaks and the new February 2018 security updates. Unfortunately, for those who didn’t hit the download button on time, Samsung appears to have suspended its software update rollout since yesterday.
