ookyo, the digital telco service under Maxis, offers unlimited internet for a collection of apps at RM30/month. This is great for those who primarily use their mobile data for social and music apps. However, for those who stream lots of YouTube videos might find it unappealing as watching YouTube on ookyo will utilise its normal 4GB of high-speed data quota and they only offered unlimited passes for very short durations.
If that’s holding you back, ookyo has introduced a new YouTube unlimited pass that’s valid for 30 days. On top of that, they have also revised the pricing for some of its unlimited apps and data add-on for greater value.
ookyo, the hybrid mobile service by Maxis has just upgraded its high-speed internet quota. In case you didn’t know, ookyo offers unlimited internet access for a selection of apps and for other usages, the plan originally came with 3GB high-speed data and 500MB of basic internet.
Maxis’s fully digital sub-brand, ookyo, is now offering an offer that you can’t resist. In a bid to get more people to experience its unlimited internet experience, you can get a free SIM and one month of usage for only RM1. Actually, RM1.06 including GST to be exact.
What looks like a brand new MVNO (riding on Maxis’ network) has popped up on our radar. It’s called ookyo and it claims to offer “unlimited internet” for RM30/month. But, after a little digging, ookyo seems more like a Maxis sub-brand — kind of like Happy to Digi back in the day — than an MVNO.
