Beware of fake Nokia banana phones in Malaysia

Early this month, HMD Global had introduced the new Nokia 8110 4G in Malaysia. This is a tribute to the iconic Matrix phone which is also known as the banana phone. The Finnish smartphone brand is aware that there are cheap knockoffs of the Nokia 8110 being sold online and they want consumers to be cautious when it comes to dubious offers.

Nokia’s new throwback device, the 8110 4G has finally arrived in Malaysia. Like the reborn Nokia 3310, it’s also a feature phone but this supports faster 4G. On top of that, you can even use it as a hotspot.

Ok I may have exaggerated a bit. The CAT S61 doesn’t really shoot lasers, instead, the built-in laser is used for distance and area measurement. Yes, you read that right, this is a smartphone with a built-in laser measurement tool.
CAT has been building smartphones for a few years now and being a brand that’s synonymous with construction work, you can understand why the S61 is a rugged phone. The rugged phone concept is not anything new though. Many brands have tried and are still building rugged smartphones but the S61 is unique because of the array of tools built-into the device.

Asus kicked off its year with a big party at Mobile World Congress 2018 announcing three new phones, the ZenFone Lite, the ZenFone 5 and the flagship ZenFone 5Z. We’ll talk about the ZenFone Lite in a later post, for now I want to concentrate on the two more interesting models – the ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5z.
The ZenFone 5 is the most intelligent smartphone Asus has ever made, or so they claim. The device was introduced with a range of what Asus claim is AI technology enhancing seven key performance aspects of the device – AI Display, AI Camera, AI Ringtone, AI Gallery, AI Charging, AI Boost, AI Photo Learning.

Nostalgia is a funny thing, it plays tricks on you. Nostalgia fills the gaps in your memories to make it seem that what you remember from the past are as good as you think they were, you reminisce. The problem with nostalgia is that sometimes what you remember and what actually happened are two different things.
When Nokia announced the 8110 4G in Barcelona ahead of the Mobile World Congress, the stage was filled with talk about nostalgia for the phone and the Matrix – the cult-classic that made the original 8110 famous.
