UPDATE:Microsoft Malaysia reveals the official launch date for the Surface Book 2!
Earlier we found out that the Surface Book 2 will be up for pre-orders in Malaysia tomorrow, courtesy of Thunder Match Technology. What we didn’t realise was that you could already place your pre-orders for the 2-in-1 detachable laptop on Lazada.
To me, Microsoft’s Surface Book 2 was the only “proper” laptop they launched in 2017. It had power, looks and most importantly a USB Type C port (yeah, I love me some USB-C). But today we found out that the best part was yet to come. You can actually pre-order this 2-in-1 detachable laptop in Malaysia tomorrow!
Microsoft‘s latest device is definitely something I did not expect. I thought we’d see a new Surface Pro or a new laptop. Instead, the Microsoft announces a brand new, ultra-thin all-in-one device. Meet the Microsoft Surface Studio.
Microsoft‘s much anticipated new Surface products, the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4, launched to a myriad of complaints from users who were receiving a less than satisfactory experience with it. Many, ourselves included, felt that Microsoft shipped an unfinished product. From what we gathered, it isn’t the hardware that the Surface users are unhappy about, rather it was the software implementation that let the devices down.
What’s worse, Microsoft’s “solution” to the problem was an apology on their forums which only served to irk more users. Now though, they seem to have actually come up with a solution to at least one of their problems.
If you currently own a Surface Pro 4 or a Surface Book, you’ve probably felt all the gripes that owners worldwide are experiencing, ranging from power and battery issues, flickering screens and impromptu Windows reboots.
These issues cropping up are a follow-up to the shambles that was Microsoft’s style of dealing with its angry OneDrive customers, that showed that their customer service approach has a lot of refining to be done and this time, it seems like deja vu all over again.
We thought Microsoft was done after the HoloLens, Band 2 and Surface Pro 4 but nope, they kept the best (well-kept secret) for last; their first laptop, the Surface Book. If you’ve ever wanted a Surface but preferred it to be bigger and a non-flex like typing experience, Microsoft has just machined it for you.
