The latest, smallest and lightest Surface yet is finally available for pre-order in Malaysia. The Microsoft Surface Go is officially priced from RM1,749 and stocks will be available in Malaysia from 28 August 2018.
It looks like Microsoft is going right after the affordable iPad with the launch of their brand new Surface Go 2-in-1 detachable. It’s affordable, runs Windows 10 and even has a feature you can’t find on the company’s flagship Surface Pro.
UPDATE: Microsoft Malaysia reveals the official launch date for the Surface Book 2!
Earlier we found out that the Surface Book 2 will be up for pre-orders in Malaysia tomorrow, courtesy of Thunder Match Technology. What we didn’t realise was that you could already place your pre-orders for the 2-in-1 detachable laptop on Lazada.
To me, Microsoft’s Surface Book 2 was the only “proper” laptop they launched in 2017. It had power, looks and most importantly a USB Type C port (yeah, I love me some USB-C). But today we found out that the best part was yet to come. You can actually pre-order this 2-in-1 detachable laptop in Malaysia tomorrow!
UPDATE: Official price and models have been revealed!
UPDATE 2: Lazada has revealed more details for the Surface Laptop pre-order!
After a 2-in-1 tablet, a 2-in-1 convertible, and an all-in-one desktop, Microsoft finally stepped into the realm of bog-standard laptops with the aptly named Surface Laptop. It is a curious device with beautiful but frustrating design choices that was ultimately rather well received.
The most frustrating for us Malaysians though, was the fact that you couldn’t buy one even if you wanted to. Well, that looks like it’s about to change really soon.

Microsoft’s Surface Pro lineup have pretty much set the standard for the 2-in-1 detachable category. I don’t think there’s a device in the market right now that can really match the package Microsoft offers with their Surface Pro.
But, like Surface Pros tend to be, they’re very expensive and that usually begs the question: Is it worth the premium over the other, more affordable, 2-in-1 detachables in the market? Well, today I got to spend some time with Microsoft’s latest Surface Pro and here’s what I think.
UPDATE: Microsoft confirms that the new Surface Pro for 2017 will be officially available in Malaysia starting 15 August 2017.
The 5th generation Microsoft Surface Pro has finally arrived in Malaysia. This convertible 2-in-1 laptop was first announced a few months ago and you can now secure your unit online from as low as RM3,699.
UPDATE: Pre-orders are live and the device will be officially available on 8 April 2016 at all authorised Microsoft retailers.
Want to get your hands on the last Lumia of 2016? Well, it’s up for pre-orders on Lazada for less than RM1000.
When you step in the shoes that were once filled by Bill Gates, you better hope that you fulfill your role. Steve Ballmer unfortunately took upon the intimidating task and his reign lasted a good 13 years. A robust character, Ballmer excelled in his early days but by 2012 stock prices were idling too long and that ensued criticism of dropping everything that he had managed to achieve. Many have speculated that the failure of Surface RT tablet was the last straw for Microsoft’s overseeing board of directors, with a US$ 900 million write off being a mistake that couldn’t go unnoticed.
Two years after Ballmer’s retirement, Satya Nadella has filled some big shoes and it has been an upward journey so far. Akin to Ballmer, the Surface Pro 4 sits in a precarious position as it has never been easy living up to your past successes.

Looks like the “I Will Follow You” man will extend his reach to the latest Microsoft smartphones, following the announcement of the exclusive bundle from the partnership between Microsoft and Digi.
Did we mention? This will be the first time you’re seeing Continuum: a PC-like experience on your Lumia 950 or 950 XL via Display Dock and Windows 10 on any smartphone. The question is, will it change Microsoft’s success in the local market? Let’s see if Digi enterprise/business customers take advantage of this special deal.
