Recently, a massive security exploit had come into the spotlight which affects a wide range of hardware including servers, computers, smartphones and tablets. In a nutshell, the two vulnerabilities named Meltdown and Specture takes advantage of a CPU’s performance feature to gain access to your private data from your system’s memory.
To reduce the risk of such vulnerability, Apple has finally issued an update which covers iOS, macOS and tvOS.
Apple just released a brand new version of iOS, version 10.3, and it comes with a whole list of improvements and optimisations. One of the biggest ones is the fact that this new operating system apparently frees up additional storage on your device.
iPhone and iPad users should be getting a software update notification today as Apple is pushing its newer iOS 8.1.2. Weighing about 28MB in size, the latest update is quite a minor one as it addresses an issue where purchased ringtones from iTunes. It also includes tweaks and fixes for previous bugs as well.
The update is applicable for iPhones from iPhone 4S and above and iPads starting with iPad 2. If you haven’t gotten any notification yet, you can check manually at Settings> General > Software Update.
Following its iOS 7.1 update released last month, Apple is now pushing a new iOS 7.1.1 update for iPhone and iPad users. Apart from the periodical bug fixes, the new update improves its Touch ID recognition and the responsiveness of the keyboard. It also fixes a problem with Bluetooth keyboards when voiceover is enabled.
The iOS 7.1.1 update can be downloaded Over The Air (OTA) but only with a WiFi connection. If you haven’t received any notification, head over to Settings > General > Software Updates.

It brings the latest support for CarPlay which allows seamless connectivity with CarPlay supported vehicles along with couple of new enhancements. For Siri, they have added more voices and the ability to manually speak to Siri in a Push to Talk fashion by press and holding the home button to speak. This allows Siri to react faster by releasing the button once you’re done.
Apart from that, there’s some minor improvements on iTunes Radio and Calendar usability along with a couple of bug and performance fixes as well. You can download the iOS 7.1 update Over The Air (OTA) using a WiFi connection. To get started, head over to Settings > General > Software Updates.
