ASUS had enjoyed great success with its original ZenFone and ZenFone 2. Both series offered top notch specs with generous storage at unbeatable prices. Unfortunately, the Taiwanese smartphone maker didn’t enjoy the same accomplishment as they moved upmarket with the ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 4.

With more competition heating up in the entry to mid-range segment, ASUS appears to be making a huge comeback with its new ZenFone Max Pro. This could possibly be the best smartphone you can get for less than RM1,000 in Malaysia.

ASUS may be ditching bloated ZenUI for stock Android in its Redmi Note 5 challenger

UPDATE: ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 is now official. Expected to arrive in Malaysia in mid-May 2018.

ASUS will be unveiling the ZenFone Max Pro M1 which appears to be the successor to its current ZenFone Max Plus M1. It gets a larger 6” display in an 18:9 aspect ratio and it packs pretty decent hardware that could challenge Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5.

If you don’t like ASUS ZenFone for its UI and “bloatware”, you might just change your mind with this upcoming mid-range smartphone.

ZenFone 5 & 5z are probably how Asus would make the iPhone X

Asus kicked off its year with a big party at Mobile World Congress 2018 announcing three new phones, the ZenFone Lite, the ZenFone 5 and the flagship ZenFone 5Z.
