Leak reveals Note8’s Malaysian price and pre-order bundle

Samsung Galaxy Note8 Official Malaysia Price preorder

UPDATE: Samsung Malaysia has revealed the full details of the Galaxy Note8 pre-order! Click here to learn more.

Have you been pulling your hair out trying to figure out how much the Samsung Galaxy Note8 will retail for here in Malaysia? Is your head aching from all the pondering you’ve been doing over its official price? Well, ponder no longer because it appears we have the number.

Also, it looks like we’re getting some serious goodies for the pre-order promotion.

Thanks to a leak from website MDROID, we have what looks like the actual pre-order paperwork for the Samsung Galaxy Note8 promo that will take place here in Malaysia starting the 5th of September and will end on the 10th of September. There is no confirmation on when the handset will go on sale in stores, though we were told that it will happen around mid-September.

According to the image, Samsung’s Galaxy Note8 will retail for RM3,999 — proving our guesstimations right — when it officially goes on sale locally. However, if you pre-order this smartphone, Samsung is throwing in a rather generous amount of goodies worth RM888.

Users who pre-order the device will be entitled to a cash rebate of RM321, Samsung’s Protection Plus plan worth RM298 (1-year screen crack warranty and 1-year extended warranty), a 5,100 mAh power bank worth RM269 and a free clear cover for your smartphone. As far as value goes, it’s about the same as the Samsung Galaxy S8 pre-order promo, though the Note8’s has a cash rebate (which we suspect is instant) that could bring the handset’s price below that of the current Galaxy S8+.

Unlike in Singapore, it looks like Samsung Malaysia won’t be throwing in a DeX Station for pre-order customers which is a little disappointing.

Of course, we must stress that this is not officially confirmed yet and that this is still a leaked document so prices and offers may change before the pre-order actually begins. However, judging from past pre-order banners, this does look very legit.

What do you guys think of this pre-order? Let me know in the comments below.
