If you trade-in an old smartphone, the HTC U Play can be yours for RM1,499. That’s RM400 off its original retail price of RM1,899.
According to the T&C, the RM400 trade-in offer is valid for any smartphone of any make or model as long it is in working condition.
The HTC U Play was launched in Malaysia in February and it’s their most affordable option under the HTC U series. It gets a 5.2″ Full HD display encased with its glossy Liquid Surface glass body. Under the hood, the HTC U Play runs on MediaTek’s Helio P10 processor with 4GB RAM and it comes with 64GB of storage.
The HTC U Play features a 16MP f/2.0 main camera with OIS and PDAF while the front gets a 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera. Like its bigger HTC U series models, there’s no headphone jack but it gets a pair of USonic headphones that are based on USB Type-C. Powering the HTC U Play is a 2,500mAh battery which charges via a normal 5V/2A power brick.
To recap, the HTC U Ultra is currently priced at RM2,599 while the Sapphire Glass edition with 128GB storage is priced at RM2,999. Their top of the line model – HTC U11 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is officially priced at RM3,099.
