Nubia finally has a flagship smartphone in Malaysia

ZTE’s sub-brand, nubia, is increasingly making inroads into the Malaysian market. After introducing its selfie-centric M2 series, nubia is finally bringing its flagship model locally with the Nubia Z11. It has top of the line specs with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, and you can get it for under RM2,000.

The nubia Z11 isn’t their latest flagship model but it is still an impressive device with a 5.5″ Full HD display with an aRC 2.0 technology that gives it a “bezel-less” appearance. You do get a forehead and chin, while the display stretches from edge to edge at the sides which is similar to Sony’s Xperia XA series. The front is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 while the metal frame is made from 6000 series aluminium.

Under the hood, it runs on last year’s 14nm 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820 processor and it is mated to 6GB of RAM and has 64GB of internal storage. You can expand storage further via microSD using its hybrid dual-SIM tray slot. For imaging, it gets a 16MP f/2.0 Sony IMX298 main camera while the front gets an 8MP f/2.4 shooter.

The nubia Z11 is powered by a 3,000mAh battery and it charges via USB Type-C. Out of the box, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with nubia UI 4.0 custom skin on top. It is available now at RM1,899 with official 1 year warranty by nubia Malaysia. You can learn more about the nubia Z11 here.

For its mid-range models, it appears that nubia has revised the pricing for the M2 and M2 lite. The M2 which comes with a dual-camera set up (13MP RGB + 13MP Monochrome) is now priced at RM1,699 instead of RM1,899. Meanwhile, the M2 Lite is now RM1,099 instead of RM1,199.

that's quite a decent price, considering others offer SD 625/626 class at higher than this price (cough*moto z2 play*cough*blackberry*cough*)

    ..l..

    Decent price? Bruhhhh

rm1899? stretch abit and you can get S7edge off 11th Street, brand new.

that price could also fetch you an older Note 5, or iphone 6s.

Nubia what?

    syer1n

Without even stretching you can get several first generation iphone. Galaxy what?

it’s china brand and is subbrand at that…and even using old engine….and camera colour accuracy and lowlight sure fail big time. Even if it sells half the quoted price, I will consider whether it’s worth my rm900.

    Nubia

Get off your high horse. The display is 500nits, While color accuracy is extremely accurate, also the user can tune the display to warmer or colder depending on preference. While the camera has OIS, Steadycam levels of stabilization. I personally have the z9 AND Z11 bezeless phones.
Pst: Buy direct from china and flash gapps yourself. 🙂 Good day to you sir.

Give me a reason why i shouldn't go for OnePlus 3T with SD821 and 6GB RAM, 64GB Storage and 3,400 mAh battery, for only RM1,5xx.

Nubia What??

    Tetech

Well the Nubia Z11 is bezelless and the camera goes toe to toe with oneplus 3 (video sucks but better low light shot)

And OnePlus 3T Original Brightstar is rm19xx for gold and rm2xxx for grey.
So the nubia is actually officially cheaper.

But will still definitely go for OnePlus 3T any day. This z11 is too late to reach here. Oneplus is by far superior

Nubia Z11 was announced June 2016 exactly 1 year ago, SD 820 is 2016 chips, now June 2017 & current chips is SD 835.

Current Nubia model is Z17 with SD 835.

Malaysia is ZTE dumping ground for 1 years old obsolete phone with obsolete chips.

Correction: Malaysia is a third world country, dumping ground for ALL PHONE manufacturers. Hahahaha.
