Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy Note7 smartphone was just launched in New York during Unpacked 2016. It is a beast of a device with top-of-the-line specifications and a bunch of other improvements over the previous Galaxy Note5. We reported earlier that Samsung Malaysia will be putting the device up for pre-order beginning the 8th of August, but it appears you can pre-order the device a little sooner than expected.

11street has put the brand new Samsung Galaxy Note7 up for pre-order on their website for RM3,199. They are also offering the handset with a choice of three colours — Black Onyx, Silver Titanium and Gold Platinum — and the pre-order will start today, the 3rd of August until the 18th of August. Shipping of the device is stated to start on the 19th of August which is the same time the Galaxy Note7 hits Malaysian shores.

Should you choose to pre-order with 11street, they will be throwing in a mystery gift for the first 100 buyers for free, though they did not mention what the gift actually is…which makes sense since it’s labelled a mystery gift. If you want to check this pre-order out, head on over to 11street for more information.

For that money, you’re getting the very best that Samsung has to offer with a 5.7-inch dual-edge Quad HD Super AMOLED display, an Exynos 8890 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of UFS storage (further expandable via microSD), a 3,500 mAh battery that charges via a USB Type-C port or wirelessly, plus the Note series staple S Pen.

The S Pen has undergone plenty of improvements, now with double the pressure sensitivity (4,096 levels) from the Note5 and a finer 0.7mm tip. You also get a bunch of new Air Command features like Glance, Magnify and Translate.

Samsung’s latest Note also features a new build with a 3D symmetrical design of curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and back of the handset sandwiching a 7,000 series aluminium metal frame. It’s has an IP68 water resistance rating (along with the S Pen) so it will be ready to rock even when the going gets wet.

Keeping things safe is a fingerprint sensor mounted on the front of the device tucked under the home button alongside an Iris Scanner which unlocks your smartphone with the power of your eyes.

For imaging, the Note7 features the excellent 12MP Dual Pixel camera that you’d find on the back of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge paired with a fast f/1.7 aperture lens and optical image stabilisation. On the front, there’s a 5MP unit with an f/1.7 aperture lens for all your selfie needs.
