Apart from the HTC 10, the Taiwanese smartphone company has also announced a new mid-range device for the Malaysian market. Following the trend of unibody metal smartphones, the HTC One X9 is the latest member of the “HTC One” family that was first announced at the end of 2015.
Officially priced at RM1,499, the HTC One X9 is hitting the mid-range segment. Over at the front, the One X9 gets a 5.5″ Full HD display and it does come with a pair of front-firing Boom Sound stereo speakers that comes with Dolby Audio enhancement. The design looks quite similar to the HTC One A9 except that it is bigger and there’s a “visor” design at the back for its main camera.
Under the hood, it runs on a Mediatek Helio X10 processor that’s mated to 3GB of RAM. For storage, it gets 32GB on-board and you can expand further with its expansion slot. In the imaging department, it gets a 13MP f/2.0 shooter with OIS and it also supports 4K video recording. There’s also a 5MP f/2.8 front camera for all your selfie needs.
Out of the box, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and keeping the lights on is a reasonable at 3,000mAh battery. The HTC One X9 will be available at all HTC stores and dealers in Malaysia from August 2016 onwards. It will be sold in two colours only – Gold and Grey.
