OPPO has just announced a price cut for its selected smart phones with reductions as much as 27%. This covers its entry level OPPO Neo 5, its mid-range OPPO R1L and the ultra-thin OPPO R5. All of which supports 4G LTE.
With immediate effect, the trio will be priced as follows:
OPPO Neo 5 – RM538 RM398
OPPO R1L – RM1,098 RM798
OPPO R5 – RM1,598 RM1,398
OPPO Neo 5
The OPPO Neo 5 is their most affordable 4G LTE smart phone that comes with a modest 4.5″ 854×480 display. It runs on a 1.2GHz Quad Core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB RAM and has 4GB of storage. Should you need more, it also comes with a microSD slot. For imaging it gets a 5MP main and 2MP front cameras, and it is juiced up by a 1,900mAh battery.
OPPO R1L
The OPPO R1L is their refresher of the original OPPO R1. The R1L is a 5″ It gets a metal frame and a thickness of just 7.1mm. The front features a 5″ HD 720p display and it runs on Qualcomm’s 1.6GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB of storage, which isn’t expandable. For taking pictures, it gets a 13MP f/2.0 Sony IMX214 camera, while selfies are handled by its 5MP front shooter. It gets a non-removable 2,410mAh capacity battery and overall it weighs 136 grams. Like the OPPO Neo 5, it also supports 4G LTE.
OPPO R5
The OPPO R5 was at one point the thinnest smart phone in the world at a wafer thin 4.85mm. It packs a 5.2″ Full HD AMOLED display and it runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core Processor with 2GB of RAM. There’s also 16GB of non-expandable storage, a 13MP IMX214 Sony main camera and a front facing 5MP unit. Keeping the lights on is a 2,000mAh capacity battery which can be charged up quickly with VOOC Flash Charger. With a solid metal body, the R5 is a little heavier at 155 grams and it is so thin that they couldn’t fit a headphone jack, requiring you to use a special adapter with the microUSB port.
