We reported yesterday that the HTC One ME9 was on it’s way, having achieved TENAA certification not too long ago. But now we have a tentative launch date as well as new press images of the phone, showcasing not only how thin it is but also it’s somewhat metallic looking outer shell.
The HTC One ME9, also known as the Hima Ace, is essentially a down scaled HTC One M9+ with only one camera at the back and a plastic shell instead of the metal the HTC One series is known for.
The ME9 will be sporting a 64-bit MediaTek MT6795 processor under the hood, alongside 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage which can be bumped up to 128GB. The phones screen would be a 5.2 inch LCD-3 display with a 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution with 565ppi. Under the hood you will also find a 2900mAh battery along with Android 5.0 running the show with Sense 7.0 plastered on top.
The HTC One ME9 is expected to be arriving in July for the Hong Kong, India and Thai markets. It has an estimated price of $563 USD (about RM 2006) which is a fair bit cheaper than the RM 2,599 retail price for the One M9+. The phone will be available in Classic Rose Gold, Gold Sepia and Meteor Gray colour options.
