HTC announces mini – remote phone for HTC butterfly

The HTC mini isn’t a smaller smart phone, but it is a candybar designed remote control/phone for the 5″ HTC Butterfly. While Sony has its own Smart Watch, the candybar shaped HTC mini offers more features such as making phone calls, remote control and it also can be used as a remote camera shutter as well. There’s even Phone Finder feature in case you lose your HTC Butterfly.

To activate the mini, all you’ll need is to tap the device via NFC to pair both devices on Bluetooth. It also comes with a monochrome display that lets you read messages, calendar and call log entries. So far the HTC mini is destined for China and there’s no word if it is going to be released in other regions. Honestly this seems to be a joke and it is rather redundant to hold 2 “phones” in your pocket.

Head after the break for the product video.

lebih thing?==

i can sense HTC tablet coming.. no need 2 data plan.. a tablet that is in ur bag replace ur need of connectivity and this in ur pocket for hand held ability..

    Actually HTC already have tablet flyer and jetstream(oversea)…just waiting for flyer 2 using quad core for sure

sony watch much more better, who want to carry remote and a big phone in pocket.

Are HTC butterfly wire phone.? Why need something like cordless phone.

I think they are clearly thinking of innovation when producing these smaller cellular. but its functionanality still remain in question and you could probably use this handy mobile when the battery runs out. I am curious whether this butterfly or the xperia z.

Everything goes mini.

They should produce this for ipad, or tablet. And not for a smartphone.

Good for pairing with tablet.. No second simcard required or worse using the tablet to pickup a phone call

Copy idea from Asus MeMo Bluetooth remote phone called MeMic.

Fail !!!…too bad HTC butterfly for Malaysian no NFC and now New accessories with NFC built-in…plain stupid to me

Apple iPhone, HTC Butterfly, maybe later Huawei Aerosol?

good things, when will come to malaysia?
