Reuters Confirms August 29 Unpacked will be for the Samsung Galaxy Note II

We can pretty much put all the speculation aside now as Reuters has confirmed that the August 29 Samsung Unpacked event in Berlin will be for the Galaxy Note II, a Samsung spokesman said.

The final quarter of this year is looking to be a very interesting time for gadget junkies as Apple is also expected to release its new iPhone about two weeks after the new Galaxy Note makes its debut. And looking how things pan out both of these devices could be in Malaysia by December.

Rumour has it that the new Galaxy Note may feature an unbreakable, 5.5-inch display – slightly larger than the current one – as well as a faster processor and a much better camera. We’re expecting Samsung to port carry over much of the “smart features” first seen in the Galaxy S III as well as its quad-core processor (perhaps with a faster clock speed) and more RAM. Expect two colours to be available at launch, similar to the Galaxy S III.

We know a lot of people who will be standing in line for this one. What are your thoughts?
