It was earlier revealed that the Galaxy Nexus will not come with Corning’s Gorilla Glass protection. This was a shocker as most smart phones today will come with this strengthen glass which protects from daily abuses.
So what happens if a Galaxy Nexus meets with your bunch of keys in the pocket? Someone has put the Galaxy Nexus to the test, so watch the video above to see the results.
As mentioned before, it is unlikely for Samsung to omit strengthen glass and they might be using alternative glass like Dragontail. While it can’t be confirmed if it is indeed Dragontail, at least we now know there’s some form of toughen glass being used in the Galaxy Nexus.

Above is their commercial entitled “Calling All” showcasing Galaxy Nexus new features in action. Head after the break for How-to videos to get better acquainted with this 4.65″ smart phone with the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Thanks to @izham_merican for the heads up.
Imagine if you’re first in line and being the first to own a brand new smart phone. After celebrating your ownership of this prized possession, you realised that the unit you had was buggy. This was exactly what happened to Alex Ioannou, the first ever owner of the Galaxy Nexus which went on sale in the UK today.
It was earlier speculated that he might be a saboteur from a “competing” brand but he insisted that he was having problems setting up his mail as the usual Gmail options were missing. It was also reported that his unit came with couple of weird stuff which is led to believe that he might be having a developer version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich installed. If a bug was found, there’s even an option that’s labeled as “Report a WTF Problem”.
After that, he managed to get an immediate replacement unit from the store which he later confirms that it’s working fine. What a hilarious way to start sales for the Galaxy Nexus but nevertheless it should be an isolated issue. Tentatively, the Galaxy Nexus is expected to make an appearance in Malaysia by next month.
