Nokia has announced a its NFC enabled version of the Nokia Lumia 610 at Monaco today. This is Nokia’s 8th NFC device and their first Windows Phone with NFC built-in.
The Lumia 610 NFC is certified for contactless transactions with Mastercard Paypass & Visa payWave and it will be available on Monaco’s Orange network soon. Just like other NFC enabled Nokia devices, the Lumia 610 NFC can also be paired with their NFC accessories as well.
Windows Phone 7 doesn’t support NFC natively in the OS. To make NFC possible on the Lumia 610 NFC, they had to add a NFC software stack on top of the platform and additional NFC hardware.

To kick off the Nokia Lumia 900 fever in the US, Nokia has launched a new campaign site called Smartphone Beta Test. The new campaign claims that if you’ve been using a smart phone in the last 5 years (indirectly hinting at iPhone introduction in 2007), you’re part of a secret experiment which helped Nokia create the Nokia Lumia 900.

Nokia has released a video documentary on the Nokia Lumia 800, Nokia’s first Windows Phone 7 which was just launched last month.
The video talks about how Nokia forms a strong collaboration with Microsoft and the story behind their design. At one point, it highlights Nokia’s priority in having the best antenna reception by using materials that are RF transparent, which in this case a single polycarbonate body.
Some may argue, what is there to design since it looks exactly the same as the Nokia N9. While it is easy to point out that Nokia had slapped a WP7 Mango OS inside a N9 body, it is possible that the Lumia 800 came first. Its CEO Stephen Elop had shown a fully functional Lumia 800 internally about the same time when the N9 was announced.
So is Nokia Lumia 800 the best designed WP7 around? Tell us in the comments below.

Yesterday Nokia has revealed its Windows Phone 7 line up with the Lumia 800 dubbed as the first real Windows Phone. Despite close collaboration with Microsoft, there isn’t any significant Nokia-exclusive features except for a couple of apps such as Nokia Drive and MixRadio.
So how does it compare spec by spec with HTC? We’ve compiled a comparison above against Nokia’s latest Lumias & N9 for reference. Earlier last month, they have announced the HTC Radar and Titan. The HTC Radar is currently available in Malaysia for RM1,399.
Tentatively it looks like Nokia is giving a pass on Malaysia for the latest Lumia devices which will make its Asian debut in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore at the end of this year. So if you’re planning to get one, you might have to wait until early 2012. The estimated pricing is about RM1117 for the Lumia 710 and RM1830 for the Lumia 800 before shipping and taxes.

IMCC has just broke the news, the HTC Radar and the Sensation XE are coming to Malaysia and they are coming next week!
The Sensation XE will retail for RM1,999 and the HTC Radar will be selling for RM1,399.
These are two ground breaking devices from HTC. The Sensation XE will be the first Beats Audio phone to hit the country and the Radar will be the first Mango phone in Malaysia.
Sensation XE brings with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 768MB RAM, 1,730mAh battery, a 4.3-inch Super LCD Gorilla Glass display pushing 540×960 pixel resolution and an 8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording. The Sensation XE will also be bundled with a set of iBeats headphones (which HTC are calling upbeats) in the box. The headphones are designed to make the most out of the Beats Audio technology integrated in the device — not bad considering the RM1,999 asking price.
The HTC Radar brings 3.8-inch 800×480 pixel Super LCD display. Featuring a a single piece metal construction, the Radar packs a 1GHz single core processor with 512MB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. You also get a 5MP rear camera with a fast F2.2 lens and a BSI Sensor for low light photography. The camera shoots 720p HD video. Powering the device is a 1520mAh Lithium Ion Battery. At RM1,399 is slightly expensive when compared to similar specced devices like the Sony Ericsson Xperia ray for example.
We expect Samsung to also release a deluge of device to counter what HTC is doing. Look out for the latest on SoyaCincau.com
What did we tell you about an exciting final quarter?

After much anticipation, Microsoft has officially announced its roll out of Mango, the latest Windows Phone 7.5 which aims to bring WP7 up to the next level. It offers a variety of much needed improvement such as better social network integration, improved web browsing experience, group chat and much more. This will close up the gap with its rival Android and iOS platforms.
No exact dates are given but it is expected that majority of WP7 users worldwide will be having it by end of October. Microsoft has provided a check status page but Malaysia isn’t specifically mentioned. Our closest neighbour Singapore shows “delivering update”.
Another interesting info is that a range of mobile devices with Windows Phone 7.5 will be coming into Malaysia in the next couple of months. HTC Titan or Radar, anyone? Looks like 2011 will end with a blast.
