If you’re looking for a cheap deal for smart phone on contract but don’t necessary need the latest, DiGi is offering a year end promo on selected models. The MeeGo powered Nokia N9 is being offered for FREE while the Sony Xperia S and Galaxy W are offered for only RM499. The Galaxy S II which is Samsung’s flagship of last year is offered as well at RM699.

All these devices are tied with 12 months contract of DG Smart Plan of RM68/month. Along with DiGi’s Jualan Internet promo, you’ll get 5GB data each month as well. For a period of 12 months, the total minimum subscription costs only RM816 which makes the total cost of ownership less than RM1,600. All 4 devices requires an upfront payment of RM500 which will be rebated back to your bill. The Sony Xperia S looks like a tempting buy among the lot with a 4.3″ 1280×720 resolution display, dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 12MP camera and 32GB of storage.

The offer is now available from their Online Store and will be available at DiGi’s centre at SoHo KL from 25th December 2012 onwards. As usual, stocks are expected to be limited and it is based on first come first served basis.

One of the most popular Android smartphones in the world has just gotten more affordable. With a recent revision in RRP pricing, the Samsung Galaxy S II now retails for RM1,699 — RM400 less than when it was initially launched here in June last year at the price of RM2,099. As a result of the pricing revision, operators are dropping their subsidised pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S II as well.

The Samsung Galaxy S II is now available with contract from DiGi for as low as RM1,699 on the DiGi Smart Plan 88. The Smart Plan 88 is a new addition to DiGi’s Smart Plan range where previously it was only offered selectively during promotion periods and specific product launches.

In addition to the Samsung Galaxy S II, DiGi is also offering the Smart Plan 88 with other devices Including the Galaxy W, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Nokia Lumia 800.

If yellow is not your colour, Maxis has also revised the pricing for the for the Galaxy S II which is now available for as low as RM999 with 24 months contract with any postpaid plan on top of a required 3GB data bundle.

A few days back, Samsung has slashed the popular Samsung Galaxy S II by RM200. As a result, Celcom and DiGi has revised its subsidised bundled pricing which offers it as low as RM998 on Celcom and RM1199 on DiGi. This is a reduction as much as RM210 on Celcom and RM150 on DiGi.

So far there’s no change from U Mobile’s offering of RM849 on U Premium contract, which is one of the cheapest offering we’ve seen to date. Also surprisingly Maxis, the first telco to offer the Galaxy S II has removed all traces of the device from their website.

It is offered at RM1599 for 12 months and RM1349 for 24 months contract with DG Smart Plan. As comparison, Maxis is offering the Galaxy S II at RM1599 for 12 months and RM1399 for 24 months with either 1.5GB/3.0GB data bundle. Surprisingly the Galaxy S II is more expensive than expected as the subsidy amount is less as compared to the HTC Sensation.

DiGi has hinted on their Facebook page that they will be offering the Samsung Galaxy S II with full details coming out tomorrow. This comes about a month after the Samsung Galaxy S II availability with Maxis. Usually devices are only exclusive to an operator for a limited time and this happens to be the case for the Galaxy S II.

It is expected that the Galaxy S II will be bundled with their DG Smart Plan with 12 and 24 months options with subsidised pricing to be similar or slightly cheaper than their current HTC Sensation offering.
