OnePlus‘ decision to launch the T phones was a peculiar one but one I think many were glad they did. It gave the company a chance to address some of the shortcomings of their first flagship earlier in the year and who doesn’t like it when companies fix their mistakes? The 3T, for example, famously added 400 mAh of much-needed battery capacity and improved one of the 3‘s biggest weaknesses.
This year, the company is releasing the OnePlus 5T. The question is: What are they fixing this time?
The OnePlus 5T will be unveiled next week and this will be their latest update to their current OnePlus 5 which was introduced in June this year. As teased in a number of leaks, the OnePlus 5T will feature a 18:9 “Full View” display which offers a larger 6.0″ screen in a smaller 5.5″ smartphone body.
The OnePlus 5T is on its way, and the co-founder Carl Pei and CEO Pete Lau have released a pair of mysterious photos on their respective Twitter accounts with rather mysterious captions.
With the upcoming launch of the successor to the OnePlus 5 looking imminent, some might be wondering what the smartphone will look like. Will the OnePlus 5T pull a OnePlus 3T and look indistinguishable from the phone it succeeds? Or will it have its own little design flair?
We think we may have an idea on what this phone will look like and that’s thanks to OPPO.
