HTC One S beats solo

HTC Malaysia has announced that they are throwing a limited edition HTC One S bundling with Beats solo headset. The combo is priced at RM2,199, which is a pretty good value considering the solo head costs about RM1000.

As an early bird promotion at their Pavilion KL & Gurney Plaza roadshow, they are offering the urbeats heatset combo for just RM1,839. Stocks are limited at 200 units for Pavilion KL and 150 units at Gurney Plaza. DiGi, U Mobile & Maxis are expected to offer contract bundling and so far U Mobile has revealed its offering from as low as RM1,149.

U Mobile offers HTC One S from RM1,149

U Mobile HTC One S

The HTC One S plan from U Mobile has been revealed starting from as low as RM1,149. The HTC One S with its 7.8mm profile is priced at RM1,799 outright. In terms of hardware, the One S was announced as running on dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm’s S4 processor but recent reports have surfaced that we are likely to be getting a different processor which is overclocked to 1.7GHz. On U Mobile’s spec, it shows dual-core Krait processor at 1.7GHz which probably is a typo. Just like the rest of its HTC One Series, the One S runs on the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0.

In terms of bundling, U Mobile gives you 3 options – U28, U58 and U88 which comes with 1GB, 2GB and 3GB data respectively. There’s only 1 contract duration of 24 months and only the black colour unit is being offered. More details of U Mobile’s HTC One S bundling here.

Beginning this Friday, HTC will be going on a mobile road trip begining this Friday 15th of June. For more information, head over to HTC’s Facebook page or hit the source link for the full details.

HTC One S coming to U Mobile, ROI starts now

U Mobile HTC One S

UPDATE: As highlighted by our readers, there’s a concern whether the Malaysian bound HTC One S will be featuring Qualcomm’s MSM8960 S4 processor or an older Qualcomm MSM8260 S3 that’s overclocked to 1.7GHz. In Taiwan, HTC’s home country, the HTC One S was reported to be running on the S3 processor at 1.7GHz which raised eyebrows on HTC’s quiet move to change its processor. The Samsung Galaxy S II had caused quite a stir when they have quietly moved from Exynos to TI OMAP processors without much announcement last year.

It’s no typo. The HTC One S is coming to Malaysia with U Mobile commencing its registration of interest. The HTC One S is a unique model from the HTC One Series that uses Super AMOLED display with a ceramic body finish which is a result of micro arc oxidation. Among the HTC One series, the One S is the slimmest model at only 7.8mm.

Although it is running just dual core 1.5GHz, the HTC One S is no slouch as it is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 that produces impressive benchmark numbers to date. To know more about the specs and difference with its bigger HTC One X model, do check out our HTC One Series comparison.

According to the ROI page, those that registered will be notified on collection details from 15th June onwards, which is an indicative availability date. To register your interest, head over to U Mobile.

Big thanks to @weisheatan for the tip!

HTC One Malaysian Media Launch April 2. Should be in Stores by April 6

Posted:  March 27, 2012   By: ccsoya   17 comments

Update: The HTC One X and One V will be in stores this Monday April 2, not April 6 as earlier estimated. Official RRP for the HTC One X is RM2,099 and the One V will retail for RM999. HTC will be running a roadshow at Pavilion, KL from April 2 to April 8 so be sure to check that out for some great deals and offers.

This is it ladies and gents, we’ve just received confirmation that the HTC One series will be launched in Malaysia in the first week of April right after the regional launch happening in Singapore at the end of this week.

The HTC One trio will be introduced to the local media on April 2 and we expect the device to be in stores by Friday April 6. Yesterday, U Mobile kicked-off proceedings with its HTC One X and One V registration of interest and we’re expecting Celcom, DiGi and Maxis to start cluing consumers in on their plans for the HTC One series within this week as well.

In terms of pricing, the current estimates are: HTC One X — RM2,099, HTC One S — RM1,899, and we’re pegging the HTC One V to be below RM1,000 (though rumours are saying that it could be priced at around RM1,099 to RM1,199).

We’ll be in Singapore at the regional launch to give you the most comprehensive coverage and live updates of HTC’s exciting new line-up so keep your browser locked on to get the latest.
