<p>6 months ago, Happy had <a href="http://www.soyacincau.com/2009/01/30/un-happy-update/">stopped</a> its happy rates when they remove the 45 minutes for only 99sen offer. It had made a lot of frown faces and the Happy trail somehow was beginning to trickle down.</p>
<p>Recently they had revised their plans and hopefully this would put more smiles on faces. Until <strong>31st July 2009</strong>, they are offering a Happy Hour promotion of <strong>33 sen</strong> for <strong>45 minutes of calls </strong>made to both <strong>Happy</strong> and <strong>DiGi</strong> numbers from 9am-5pm.</p>
<p>For normal calls to all networks, calls are charged at 33 sen/minute and calls from the <strong>3rd-15th minute</strong> are <strong>free</strong>.</p>
<p>As seen from the image at the top, it looks as if DiGi is trying to tease their new upcoming MVNO rival in terms of colour and slogan of  &#8221;<a href="http://www.happy.com.my/EverybodyCanTalk/default.aspx">Everybody Can Talk</a>&#8220;. <img src='http://www.soyacincau.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> <span id="more-905"></span><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-912" title="happyrate" src="http://www.soyacincau.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/happyrate.jpg" alt="happyrate" width="490" height="482" /></p>
<p>When Happy <a href="http://www.soyacincau.com/2008/05/27/happy-prepaid-joy-for-how-long/">started</a> a year ago, it was the pioneer of <strong>1 second billing block</strong> before <a href="http://www.soyacincau.com/category/players-in-the-field/u-mobile/">U Mobile</a> started operations. Currently, Happy charges based on <strong>20 second billing block</strong>, which is better than the industry standard of 30 second billing block.</p>
<p><strong>SMS</strong> are charged at <strong>5 sen/SMS</strong> for Happy to Happy while other networks are charged at <strong>7 sen/SMS</strong>.</p>
<p>As comparison, Happy also published a calls comparison chart with other prepaids out there.</p>
<p><strong>Comparison of calls to any network</strong></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-908" title="happylocal" src="http://www.soyacincau.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/happylocal.jpg" alt="happylocal" width="490" height="251" /></p>
<p><strong>Comparison of calls for Family &amp; Friends</strong></p>
<p><strong><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-911" title="happyonnet" src="http://www.soyacincau.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/happyonnet1.jpg" alt="happyonnet" width="490" height="249" /></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;">We like the new changes on Happy especially the Happy hour rates being extended to DiGi customers. Hopefully they would extend this beyond 31st July or replace this with a better offer. As Happy is the pioneer of per second billing, we do expect that Happy will go back to its roots one day. </span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;">For now, it gives quite a competive edge against its prepaid rivals with free minutes and slightly lower second billing. If you&#8217;re interested, you can order a RM30 starter pack now with a FREE Tote bag. Order your starter pack online by direct debit or credit card <a href="http://www.happy.com.my/gethappy/register.aspx">here</a>.</span></strong></p>
