If your 64GB gold iPhone 6 Plus is not attention grabbing enough then you will need one of these — a protective case that turns your iPhone into a nunchaku! Now you can whip out your pride and joy and flap it about to your heart’s content.
From what we can decipher on the source website, the iPhone Trick Cover is made out of aluminium and there are versions for the iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The Trick Cover’s trick hinge and sliding mechanism allows the case to double up as a stand with adjustable angle and height. And naturally, things this crazy can only come from Japan, so the iPhone Trick Cover is made in Japan.
There’s a built in card slot as well, and the makers suggests you use the slot for an NFC-enabled like a TouchnGo card for fast and super-stylo access to the LRT and other places where you need TouchnGo.
If you’re keen, the people who are selling the Trick Cover can ship it worldwide, so might be able to get it delivered here as well. The case itself costs a reasonable 3,400 Yen or about RM100 excluding shipping. Not bad considering the many shenanigans you can pull with this wacky accessory.

Fans of the Force, you can now pimp your iPhones in the most awesome Star Wars swag this side of the galaxy far, far away. These cases are as authentic as phone cases can be — the C3PO case is every bit just as shiny as the droid it mimics and the Chewbacca case has fur!
If you’re interested in getting one — or all — the cases are available on Amazon and is available for the iPhones 4, 4S, and 5, in used and new condition, from over 30 vendors. We tried ordering a Chewbacca case from the seller “Amazon.com”, and found that on top of the USD 27 for the case, the 2-to-4-day shipping charge to Malaysia was USD 31, bringing the total to about RM175. Not bad and probably worth it considering how easily scratched the iPhone 5 can be.
Just in “case” you’re thinking of buying one of these, remember to check that you order the right size!
Most phone cases are just that, cases. Aside from protecting your device from scuffs and dings, the run-of-the-mill phone case doesn’t really do much else.
Well…that’s before the ReadyCase.
The ReadyCase is only 3mm thick but it packs more goodies than any other smartphone case out there. It has a rear panel that houses an interchangeable camera lens ring so you can attach various lenses made for the iPhone, a holder for an accompanying 8 or 16GB thumb drive (the thumbdrive doubles as an adjustable kickstand both in portrait and landscape mode). There are slots for you to store your headphones and cables, and there’s even an integrated multi-tool that can be two types of knives, a screwdriver and a bottle opener.
The people behind the ReadyCase say that the case will be made out of “aerospace grade composite materials” and is asking for US$40 from you to fund the development of the case with a goal of $15,000 by late October. If they do get enough funds the case is expected to ship early next year.

This iPhone 4 case from Vans is sub-zero cool. The rubber case features Vans’ signature waffle sole and other details that make a pair of Vans loafers so timelessly iconic. We particularly like that “Off the Wall” heel tag.
The Vans Rubber Waffle edition iPhone 4 case retails for US$28 but as you would imagine, the casing is flaying off the shelves so sourcing for one is going to be a challenge. If you’re desperate for one, there are a few on sale on eBay going for US$100 — ouch!

Stand out from the crowd with this snazzy 80s phone case. RM199. Spotted at S&J, One Utama. Says on the box that it fits iPhone 3, 3GS and iPhone 4. We would think it will fit the iPhone 4S as well.
But RM200 is quite steep for what essentially is just a plastic cover.
Each one is unique, hand-sown and is made out of authentic vintage fabric. The ones that caught our attention are the ones that is made out of vintage military uniforms. We just love how the many textures and fabric patterns add so much character to each case, definitely a crowd stand-out!

Here’s one from a company called SmallWorks. The BrickCase4 retails for US$19.99 (or about RM61.50 at today’s exchange rate) on Amazon.
The BrickCase4 iPhone 4 case is made out of one piece molded ABS plastic, the product page doesn’t say if there’s a soft silicone lining inside the case to protect the glass panels on the iPhone 4 from scratches. We’re guessing it doesn’t, and looking at the design, the BrickCase4 is more of a novelty than a protective case.
Yeah sure it looks cool and yes you can assemble Lego blocks on it but we don’t think its really that practical and comfortable use. But if you’re still interested, hit up the source link for more info.
