It was just yesterday that we reported about the HTC Sensation XE getting Ice Cream Sandwich. Today, we’ve been getting reports from readers that the update is available for the HTC Sensation as well.
To get Ice Cream Sandwich on your Sensation, go to “Menu”, then “Settings”, then Software Updates”. Like the one on the Sensation XE, you’ll get the update HTC Sense 3.6 UI skin as well. The update is nearly 300MB big, so WiFi connectivity is always a good idea to ensure a smooth and speedy update.
In mid-March, HTC revealed a list of devices that will be getting the latest Android OS, the one’s relevant to Malaysia are:
HTC Desire S
HTC Desire HD
HTC EVO 3D
HTC Incredible S
HTC Sensation XL
HTC Sensation XE
We know now that updates for the Sensation and Sensation XE are available. It’s pretty safe to assume that ICS firmware update for the rest of the devices on the list should be available very soon, if not now.
If you’re using any of the devices listed above and have updated to ICS (official version through legit means), please do let us know so we can share the info with the rest of the readers.
Thanks everyone for sending this in!

The HTC One series is coming to Malaysia very soon and aside from the quad-core performance from the 1.5Ghz Tegra 3 “4-Plus-1” processor in the HTC One X, the other aspect that we are most interested about the new HTC devices is the camera performance.
The HTC One X and One S both boasts an f/2.0 lens 8MP camera with 1080p video recording capabilities and enhanced with a backlight illuminated sensor and HTC’s ImageSense image enhancement technology.
In addition, HTC has also improved the camera’s response time with the camera app requiring just 0.7 seconds to start from when the device is in sleep mode. From then, focus is automatically achieved in just 0.2 seconds. That’s pretty fast but how does the camera measure up when taking pictures?
While we gear up for the regional launch happening in Singapore this Friday, we found some sample pictures taken using the HTC One X and the One S posted on HTC’s official blog. Some of the images have been enhanced using some of the image enhancement software pre-installed in the device (lens filters and HDR etc) but even with that taken into account, we have to say, the HTC One X and One S take some pretty impressive pictures but then again, these pictures were released by HTC and obviously they would want to portray the camera performance of their devices in the best light possible.
In any case, we will get our hands on the HTC One devices in just a couple of days and we will see if the camera is all that HTC says it cracked up to be.
In the meantime, head on to after the jump to check out the pictures and tell us what you think.
UPDATE: P1 removes Kedah, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan & Perak from its P1 Fiber service availability list.
Today P1 has officially revealed its High Speed Broadband (HSBB) Fibre plans called F! which is Fiber by P1. When the plan to launch fibre was announced, P1 claims that this offer the best of both worlds with 4G in the air and Fibre on the ground. The irony is that P1 has been urging people to cut wires with its “potong” campaign and now they are offering wired connectivity. It is interesting to note that P1 is calling the service Fiber, which is a US English spelling of “Fibre”.
Looking at the plans, P1 offers 3 consumer packages from 5Mbps to 20Mbps and business packages up to 30Mbps. P1 Fiber doesn’t offer IPTV service but instead they are bundling 4G On the go broadband with 3GB dedicated quota. Voice services come as standard and has bundled minutes included according to plan. For home consumer packages, they are throwing in additional security services such as Anti-spyware, Parental Control, Anti-Virus, Firewall & Spam filters.
In terms of coverage, P1 Fiber is available in various parts of the Klang Valley, Johor,
Melaka, Kedah, Negeri Sembilan, Perak, Pulau Pinang and Putrajaya. Not surprising since they tap into the same network as TM Unifi. You can check if your premise is covered here.
Head after the break for the plan breakdown.
