DiGi initiates ROI for HTC Incredible S

The HTC Incredible S which has just been launched this morning has made an appearance on DiGi’s website. As mentioned earlier, the HTC Incredible S is priced at RM1999 outright with DiGi subsidising up to RM800 with DG Smart Plan Contract.
While we are waiting for the official announcement by DiGi, they had instead started a round of Registration of Interest (ROI) of the device. Not sure what’s the point since the price is known but if you’re eyeing for an Incredible S on DiGi, they will inform you once it is available at their stores.

thanks for the head's up. the price (with smart plan) makes the incredible s really irresistable (i know, insert bad butt joke here).
gave them my email… and i guess expect many emails from digi… 
but i'm ok with that (not my main acc anyway).

No worries. We think instead of ROI it'd be better for telcos to offer pre-orders and some special early-bird discounts or rebates. That would entice people to buy more than just this.
These companies seem to be so in love with this registration of interest bullshit. It's not like they don't already have stock. What is the point?
