Joining the foray of tablets at MWC is the LG Optimus Pad that runs on the latest Android Honeycomb OS. Instead of offering 7″ or 10″, the Optimus Pad stands out by having a 8.9″ WXGA display which does a 1280×768 resolution.
Just like its smart phone, the LG Optimus 3D, the Optimus Pad is the first Android tablet that offers 3D recording with its dual camera set up at the back. However for 3D playback, you would need a pair of 3D glasses as the display isn’t stereoscopic like the one found on the Optimus 3D. In terms of power, the Optimus 3D also runs on Nvidia’s 1Ghz Tegra 2 dual core processor and it is capable of recording 1080p HD videos.
No pricing and full specs are mentioned but LG is expected to start shipping the Optimus Pad by March this year.
