Samsung Galaxy S gets Froyo update in Malaysia

Android 2.2 Froyo is finally available for Samsung Galaxy S owners in Malaysia. Earlier on Samsung had announced the upgrade which will be available worldwide starting from the Nordic region.

The update is not pushed Over The Air (OTA) like other Android devices and you’ll need to do it with Samsung’s proprietary application called Samsung Kies.

Just a refresher, this new update includes the following:
-Android 2.2 JIT compiler
-Adobe Flash Player 10.1 compatibility
-New Android Market with auto-updating
-Speed improvements
-Pinch-to-zoom homescreen flyover
-Improved default keyboard
-Quick links to GPS and Auto rotation toggles on notification bar added
-Slightly different graphics and transitions with app drawer and default icon dock
-Colored icons in settings
-GPS Fix
-Colored settings icons
-Media Hub
-Darker menu theme, navy blue color
-Better Exchange support
-Video records in MP4 format
-New Search widget

Hi me too I was waiting for the news too. Finally upgraded but somehow I feel more laggy, the flash viewing is not smooth. :(

dont update..i update it now my unit cant use WIFI and after factory reset, although ok back a while..but now having issue again..have to take it to service centre as they feedback there is a customer facing a same issue when i call them

if i updated with european firmware before the release of malaysia firmware, how am i able to change back to malaysia froyo firmware? seriously need help.
